The Ruritan Club focuses on ways to give back to the QAC community.

We offer scholarships, fundraisers, handicap ramp builds, and give donations back into the community when needed

🛠️💥👷🏼‍♂️Yesterday 5/6/26 Sudlersville Ruritan members were at it again!! We were able to provide and installed a handicap ramp for another neighbor in need! 🤗🧑🏼‍🦽‍➡️

☎️ The club was contacted and informed that a neighbor just across the Delaware line had been involved in a serious motorcycle accident. As a result of this accident the young lady involved had to have her leg amputated, and has suddenly suffered impaired physical abilities.

⭕️ A full circle moment happened for our Club within the same week. At the beginning of the week the club was notified that a family who previously received a ramp from us no longer needed it, and asked if the club would like it back. Two days later we learned of our Delaware neighbor in need!

👷🏽‍♂️Club members got to work quickly, they disassembled and transported the metal ramp from one family to the next family in need. There were a few extra pieces required for the new install to happen, but plans came together and another ramp was successfully installed for our neighbor in need. The family was very grateful and the ramp will significantly improve the young lady’s quality of life while she heals and navigates her recovery. ❤️‍🩹

🛠️💥👷🏼‍♂️Today Sudlersville Ruritan members provided and installed a handicap ramp for a neighbor in need! 🤗🧑🏼‍🦽‍➡️

The club was contacted and informed that a Sudlersville Resident had been involved in a serious work related accident resulting in significant injuries and impaired physical abilities. As a result he and his family were having a very difficult time just to leave his home to attend doctor and therapy appointments.

Club members once hearing the story quickly began working to secure a handicap ramp, began making plans and successfully installed a ramp today for our neighbor in need.

Sudlersville Ruritan Club members work to enhance quality of life through community service to make our community a better place to live and work. We are proud to be an organization of positive people doing positive things in our community. We take pride in the things we bring to northern Queen Anne’s County.

Thank you all for another successful parade!

We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended our Sudlersville Community Christmas Parade and helped make it an unforgettable experience. The feedback has been phenomenal, and we are overjoyed that so many people had a wonderful time. Every group that registered and attended: We extend our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you! Your participation was the key to making this event a resounding success. Special thanks to Sudlersville Vol Fire Dept, Town of Sudlersville, QAC Sheriffs Office, Fire Police Staff, Sudlersville Middle School, Toys-For-Tots Midshore, and all other individuals who contributed to this remarkable second year. Please share your photos with us and let's relive the magic. We hope everyone has a joyous holiday season filled with love, laughter, and all the things that bring you joy. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We eagerly look forward to seeing you in 2026.

🎉Congratulations to Neveah Truitt of Barclay, MD and Lucy Taylor of Chestertown, MD!!

🦁 These young ladies are 2025 graduates of Queen Anne’s County High School and in their freshman year of college.

📚 Neveah thanked the Ruritan membership last night and provided an update that is she attending Colorado State University and is majoring in Pre-Veterinary and business management. She is an active member of the college shooting team and is really enjoying her freshman year!!

📚 Lucy also thanked the membership and updated the Club that she is majoring in Environmental Science through the college of Ag at University of Maryland. She is enjoying playing tennis and all aspects of the college community that UMD provides.

💰 Sudlersville Ruritan Club provides several scholarships throughout the year to assist youth with many educational opportunities. College tuition, exercise-sporting equipment, camping gear, and international travel are just a few opportunities that the Ruritan Club has provided assistance to the youth of Queen Anne’s County just this year!

⏰ We meet the 4th Monday of every month, we eat a meal together followed by a business meeting. This is a great way to engage with, and give back to the northern QAC community!

As all the students head back to school, the last few meetings we have had the opportunity to welcome many of our scholarship recipients to join us. They got to enjoy a dinner with our members and then talk briefly about what they did during their high school pathways and where they will be headed to college and what career they will be pursuing. We’re very impressed with all of the recipient’s hardwork so far and wish them the best on their continued education.

Many of our events help to fund our scholarship program. If anyone is looking for scholarship information please reach out to a member for contact information.

Our club Is continuing to grow and always looking for new members to help support more outreach to our community. Let us know if you could be our next new member!
