There are unsung heroes… and then there are the UNSUNG HEROES who quietly move mountains.

The Adult Easter Egg Hunt came together in a whirlwind, powered by a whole crew of those heroes.

Elaine Harrison our ultimate cheerleader, kept us going when things felt a little chaotic. She reminded us to push through and promised help would come… and it did.

Huge thanks to Patti Dodd, Amy Dodd Sherman and Bill Sherman for running registration like a well-oiled machine and keeping prizes moving seamlessly. This truly was the smoothest hunt yet!

Katie Jester and Elaine made their rounds selling pull tabs because every single dollar matters when you’re raising funds.

Ashton Coleman held down the bar so we could focus on the million moving pieces behind the scenes.

Kitchen’s Open Mornin’ Noon and Night kept everyone fueled and happy, which is no small feat with a hungry crowd!

And Cooper Dean Truitt you were everywhere we needed you, hiding eggs and tackling every little task thrown your way ❤️

To everyone who stayed “on deck” ready to jump in at a moment’s notice, thank you. That kind of support is priceless.

And finally, to everyone who came out to support the Patriot Emergency Relief Fund… thank you isn’t big enough. Your generosity means more than words can hold. Because of you, we’re able to pass along hope and support to those who need it most.

Adult Easter Egg Hunt FYI-

The "hunt" begins at dusk... When is dusk? Sometime around 7:15-7:45 we don't know, when it's relatively dark and requires a flashlight.

You need to get here in time to sign in if you've already purchased tickets online. We have about 30 available tickets left. If they don't all sell online, you can purchase on site.

We have Kitchen's Open Mornin' Noon and Night here serving food, and Patriot Acres Farm Brewery will be pouring fresh brews, hard cider, hard soda, and a hard energy drink😉 we've got you covered there.

No one under 21 can participate in the hunt due to the prizes being alcohol related, though there will be plenty of sweets as well! You will need to show ID upon checking in to get your bracelet.

The rain should check out before the hunt, but you'll still want to wear your boots, unless you're one of those crazy flip flop all year folks we know, you know who you are... And oddly, there are quite a few of you😂

Please do not bring your pets. Well attended kids are fine, but keep in mind the playground is closed due to storm damage. And, someone will need to tend to them during the hunt 😉

Don't forget your flashlights and bags! We do have a little backdrop spot for photos😁

One last thing, Tickets can ONLY be purchased through the provided link. Tickets are NON-TRANSFERABLE so if anyone says they have tickets, it's a scam.

Hopefully this addresses all questions, but if you have some we missed, let us know.

If you are trying to purchase tickets to the Adult Easter Egg Hunt, you have to go INTO the event to purchase tickets, not click the "Get Tickets" link. It makes ZERO sense, but it's what works.

THIS LINK, AND IN PERSON ARE THE ONLY PLACES TO GET TICKETS. DO NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE OR ACCEPT ANY PRIVATE MESSAGES ABOUT SOMEONE WITH "EXTRA" TICKETS, OR TICKETS THEY CAN NO LONGER USE. THEY ARE SCAMMERS. AND YES, I'M YELLING.

We had a surprise guest today with a very special delivery. Our dear friend Patti stopped in to gift us one of Chris Skrobot’s challenge coins. There were tears, deep gratitude, and a moment we will never forget.
May Chris fly high and continue to watch over his family and friends ❤️

For everyone that was nice enough to purchase a Super Bowl square from us we now have the filled out board with all numbers assigned. $250 will be awarded at the end of each quarter and if the game goes into overtime then the 4th $250 will be awarded to the winner of the game. All winners have until the end of February to pick up their winnings and after that time all leftover winnings will go to PERF. Good luck to everyone!!

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our friend and the first recipient of a P.E.R.F. grant, Det. Chris Skrobot. Chris fought bravely and with incredible strength until the very end.
Chris will always hold a special place in the heart of P.E.R.F. His story is part of our foundation and a lasting reminder of why this mission matters.
Please keep his wife, Caitlyn, their young children, and all of his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this profoundly difficult time.

It is with deep sadness that the New Castle County Division of Police announces the passing of Detective Christopher N. Skrobot on Thursday, February 5, 2026

Detective Christopher Skrobot began his distinguished career with the New Castle County Police Department on January 19, 2016, as a member of the 42nd Recruit Class. Following his graduation from the Police Academy, he was assigned to B-Squad in the Patrol Division, where he quickly earned a reputation as a dedicated Officer who led by example, consistently demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a strong commitment to the community.

In October 2020, after completing the rigorous Police Motorcycle Operators Course, he became a certified member of the New Castle County Police Motorcycle Unit, where he proudly rode a motorcycle for escorts, parades, and special events.

In December 2020, Detective Skrobot was transferred to the Evidence Detective Unit, where he made an immediate impact and quickly established himself as a thorough, meticulous investigator, a role he held for the remainder of his career.

Detective Skrobot was also a dedicated volunteer with the Claymont Fire Company, committing himself to public service, a commitment that remained at the heart of his career.

In April 2024, Chris was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS), a form of blood cancer. Despite this challenge, he continued to serve his community and support his family with courage and dedication.

Our deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of Detective Christopher Skrobot during this difficult time. His dedication to serving others will always be remembered by those who had the honor of working alongside him. He leaves behind a lasting legacy of service, integrity, and commitment to his community.
