Our May General meeting wrapped up another wonderful club year! We celebrated our club's accomplishments, recognized the contributions of our members, and enjoyed our appetizers and dessert table together.

We were also excited to install five new members: Maria, Donna, Jennifer, Nicole and Lisa and are happy to have them with us!

During the evening, we presented both district and state awards for projects that helped support our community, and were proud to present a donation check to Linda Kosnik, President of the Roxbury Arts Alliance.

To close out the evening, members thanked outgoing President Judy M. for her leadership as she passed the club gavel to incoming President Heather C. and are looking forward to an exciting year ahead as our club continues to grow, give back to the community, and make new friendships along the way.

While our General meetings will resume in September, our club will continue working on projects throughout the summer!

Thanks to our club members, Rose, Judy R. and Phyllis for braving the heat this past Tuesday, May 19th, to plant our CORNER flowers in time for the Memorial Day weekend, with special thanks to Adam from Roxbury Township's DPW/Parks, Buildings & Grounds! His help with the heavy lifting of planting and mulching was greatly appreciated!

Our club’s walking group enjoyed a walk around Horseshoe Lake yesterday. ☀️A beautiful day, but glad we went before the heat really ramped up. The geese were enjoying the quiet day too, prior to the beach opening up for the season.😎⁣

We are proud to support Habitat and the vital work they do.

The Roxbury Woman's Club Health and Wellness Committee recently spearheaded a collection drive for Skin Cancer Awareness Month. Club members donated sunscreen and sun protection lip balm, along with educational materials about skin cancer detection, prevention, and treatment, to the Roxbury Township Police Department. Outdoor workers have a 60% increased risk of developing skin cancer compared to the average person. We hope you will all remember to wear sunscreen this summer!
