Riptide 4:7 Youth ministry at Southside Baptist Church in Stuttgart.

2 Timothy 4:7 "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith"

Student Ministry 6th-12th Grade at Southside Baptist Church in Stuttgart, AR Riptide is defined as "a stretch of turbulent water in a river or the sea caused by one current flowing into or across another current". We aim to be a difference in the world we see today, to be that current that flows against the other current. We do this by the study of God's word and through the discipleship and accountability among our peers to live a life that brings glory and honor to the triune God, Jesus Christ. We seek to show the enthusiasm and excitement that comes along with being a Christian and being with a body of believers working together.

Beautiful evening for area churches to gather at to worship Jesus together! Local churches and businesses provided a tailgate beforehand providing many different foods and activities. Thanks to the SBC folks that helped grill up nearly 300 quesadillas for this event! We had several of our own students respond last night that have already trusted Jesus but felt convicted to recommit to seeking Him more in their life. Pray for these students!

Update from FCA on numbers from the event:

Attendance: 920
Salvation: 32
Rededication: 41
Questions about Jesus: 4

We’ve had a wonderful start to the school year for our Wednesday night student ministries as September comes to a close. Our Riptide Youth have been working through our “Narrow Way” bible study and our youth Band has led all ages in worship here at church but also was excited to join together in leading worship with FBC Stuttgart Students for a SYATP Rally last week after praying at our school flagpoles that morning. We’ve had the opportunity to help our OCC ministry folding/preparing boxes for upcoming packing parties, and most recently joined our community in keeping Arkansas Beautiful by doing some trash pick up in our neighborhood. We’ve had a lot of fun mixed in and have been so thankful to our Southside Baptist Church family for serving these students meals each week! Grateful to have Devan our new youth intern getting in the mix this semester as well as our adult volunteers, so thankful for each of you!

Coming up next week to kick off October is Fields of Faith with FCA Central Arkansas - East
