You know, as I get older, I’ve come to realize that life isn’t all about the parties, the friendships, the shenanigans, the money, or constantly making time for everyone else. It’s not about chasing people, forcing connections, or making time for family who may not even make time for you.
Sometimes, life has a way of reminding you what REALLY matters. ❤️
Tonight, I received one of the greatest blessings of my entire life.
My son, Carson Wade Meyers, CALLED ME. 🥹❤️
Yes, you read that right. He called me himself! Now that he’s 9 years old he’s growing up on me. And learning n I could not be more proud.
I missed the call because I didn’t hear my phone, but a few minutes later, I called him right back.
And then I heard those words that every father wishes he could hear a million times over…
“Hi, Daddy! I love you. How was your day?” ❤️
Man… I can’t even begin to explain what that feeling does to your heart. 🥹
Something so simple to someone else meant EVERYTHING to me.
In a world where people get caught up in money, drama, friendships, and everything that comes and goes, that little phone call reminded me exactly WHY I keep going.
My babies are my number one priority in this life. PERIOD.
They are the reason I keep building, keep fighting, keep pushing forward, and keep getting back up every single day, even when life gets hard. They are the reason I strive to become a better man, a better father, and a better version of myself.
Because at the end of the day, the money doesn’t matter nearly as much as those little voices saying, “I love you, Daddy.”
The parties will end. People will come and go. Friendships will change. Life will throw challenges at you that you never expected.
But the love I have for my children? THAT WILL NEVER CHANGE. ❤️
Carson Wade Meyers, buddy, you may never fully understand how much that phone call meant to your dad tonight, but I hope someday you look back and realize that you have always been one of the biggest reasons behind everything I do.
