UPDATE: Work is planned to continue on Cemetery Hill Road on Friday, July 17, from about 6:30 AM to 3 PM. Local traffic only please. Also note that when paving occurs, possibly Monday, July 20, the roadway will be temporarily closed. Stay tuned for updates.

Cemetery Hill Road in the Sturgeon area of South Fayette will be open to local traffic only on Thurs. July 16, from about 6:30 AM to 3 PM, while a contractor conducts street milling. Please avoid the road if you are not accessing a local home or business. Thank you.

With profound sadness, the North Fayette Police Department announces the unexpected passing of Sergeant Todd Heufelder. Sergeant Heufelder was a distinguished and dedicated employee who faithfully served this department and our community for 30 years. During his career, Sergeant Heufelder served as a Patrol Supervisor and created the department’s K9 program. During his tenure, Sergeant Heufelder demonstrated exceptional commitment, professionalism, and devotion to duty.

We are deeply saddened by this loss, and our prayers are with Sergeant Heufelder’ s family, friends, colleagues, and all those whose lives he touched. His service, dedication, and legacy will not be forgotten.

The pantry is coming right along. If you would like to participate in helping to keep it stock, please feel free to stop or if you would like to drop items off on Monday nights we can put it in as needed. Also, if you know anybody in need please let them know that it is here and they are welcome to stop at any time.

Water Donations Needed for Our Volunteer Fire Department

As the temperatures rise and calls increase, staying hydrated is critical for our firefighters’ safety and performance. We’re reaching out to our community for support—we’re currently accepting donations of bottled water and Gatorade at our volunteer fire station.

Every case of water helps keep our volunteers ready and able to respond when the community needs us most. Whether it’s after a long fire call, a training exercise , or during an extreme heat wave your donations make a direct impact.

Drop-off Location: 526 Main Street, Sturgeon PA 15082

If we are out on a call, place donation by the man door and main garage door please.
