We’re back at the Sturgeon Bay Farmers Market every Saturday from 8 AM to 12 PM through October 10! 🛍️🌈

Come visit the Open Door Pride tent on 3rd Avenue near Oregon Street and Martin Park to say hello, shop Pride merch 🏳️‍🌈 and learn how we’re building a more inclusive Door County. We’re also looking for volunteers. Can you spare an hour or two to help us keep the Pride going?

Let’s celebrate visibility, community, and connection all summer long. See you Saturday! ☀️

Last night, we were honored to receive the Annual Proclamation that June is Open Door Pride Month from Sturgeon Bay Mayor David Ward at City Hall, a powerful reminder that LGBTQIA+ lives do matter in our community. 🏛️🏳️‍🌈

Today, we’re sharing a look back at this tradition through the years, photos of Open Door Pride receiving the proclamation over time, and the many community members and leaders who have helped keep Pride visible in Door County.

Thank you to our elected officials, our supporters, and everyone who continues to show up for inclusion, dignity, and belonging during Pride Month and all year long. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Day 1 of Pride Month ✅… 29 to go. 🏳️‍🌈 Yesterday featured 3 powerful displays of Pride and inclusion in Door County: the raising of the Pride Flag in Martin Park, the kickoff of our What’s My Pride? Project at Articipation, and the Door County Maritime Museum & Lighthouse Preservation Society, Inc. glowing in rainbow colors at nightfall.

We’re just getting started! Join us throughout June for more moments of visibility, community, and celebration as we continue building a Door County where everyone is welcome. Visit opendoorpride.org/calendar for information on all of our upcoming events!

May 24th is Pansexual & Panromantic Awareness and Visibility Day
💗💛💙
Today we celebrate and uplift pansexual and panromantic people—honoring identities that embrace love and attraction beyond gender. Your experiences are real, valid, and deserving of visibility and respect.
Let’s continue to break down misconceptions, amplify voices, and create spaces where everyone can be seen and celebrated for who they are.
Love is expansive. Identity is valid. Visibility matters.

May 22nd is Harvey Milk Day 🌈
Today we honor Harvey Milk—the first openly gay elected official in California—and his legacy of courage, visibility, and hope. His message still resonates: “Hope will never be silent.”
Let’s continue his work by standing up, speaking out, and building a future where everyone can live authentically and without fear.
Visibility matters. Representation matters. Hope matters.
