Thanks to the incredible support from our community, this year’s Harvest Festival Car Show is officially back!

We’re keeping all the favorites — street parking, unique awards, and that one‑of‑a‑kind festival atmosphere.

New this year: There will not be a Friday night cruise. Instead, The Lodge at Leathem Smith is hosting their own Cruise‑In starting at 5 PM Friday 9/18. They’ll have plenty of parking, grilled food, and drinks available. Everyone is welcome to stop by and enjoy the evening.

Then on Saturday, join us for the Car Show as part of Destination Sturgeon Bay’s Harvest Festival. Show cars will enter near the east side of the Oregon Street bridge and will be directed to parking from there.

The Old Bolts Car Club invites you to enjoy one or both events for a fun‑filled weekend celebrating cars, community, and fall in Sturgeon Bay.

Destination Sturgeon Bay & Old Bolts Car Club Joint Statement

Destination Sturgeon Bay and the Old Bolts Car Club are excited to announce that the Harvest
Fest Car Show will continue this year!
Both organizations care deeply about this community and want Harvest Fest to continue
growing into an amazing experience for everyone. Destination Sturgeon Bay’s Harvest Fest has
long been one of our community's signature events, and the Old Bolts Car Club has
undoubtedly been a crucial and important part of that tradition for many years. Together, we
are committed to making sure locals and visitors continue to enjoy both experiences for years
to come.
Destination Sturgeon Bay's Harvest Fest vendors, activities, and attractions will be located from
Michigan Street to Jefferson Street, along with beverage and food tents by non-profits located
in Martin Park. The Old Bolts Car Show will showcase its vehicles along Third Avenue from
Michigan Street to Quincy Street.
NEW THIS YEAR: Harvest Fest is expanding to the West Side Promenade area!
Festivalgoers can enjoy a Ferris wheel, food vendors, street art sculptures, free trolley rides,
and additional family-friendly activities throughout the expanded footprint.
We are excited about this updated layout because it creates more space, more attractions, and
more opportunities for people to explore downtown while preserving the traditions that have
made both Harvest Fest and the car show such popular annual events.
Most importantly, Destination Sturgeon Bay and the Old Bolts Car Club share the same goal:
creating a fun, welcoming, safe, and successful event for our community. We appreciate the
volunteers, sponsors, businesses, participants, and attendees who help make these events
possible, and we are excited to continue working together to make this year's Harvest Fest the
best and biggest one yet!
Thank you for your continued support of Destination Sturgeon Bay, the Old Bolts Car Club, and
Harvest Fest as a whole. We look forward to welcoming everyone downtown this fall for a
wonderful weekend of classic cars, local businesses, family fun, and community celebration.

Hello - we wanted to update you on this year's Harvest Festival Car show:

Letter to the Editor:
For the past 20 years, the Old Bolts Car Club, an all-volunteer organization, has proudly
organized the car show held in conjunction with Harvest Festival in Sturgeon Bay. What
began as a small gathering of about 35 cars grew into a regional event featuring nearly
300 vehicles and attracting participants and visitors from Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois,
Iowa, and Minnesota.
Over the years, both Harvest Festival and the car show have continued to grow in
popularity. A large part of what made the car show unique was the ability to display the
vehicles along historic Third Avenue. Having the cars parked on the city streets, rather
than in a parking lot, created the feeling of a classic small-town Main Street scene and
allowed spectators to stroll downtown while enjoying the vehicles, local shops,
restaurants, and festival atmosphere.
Unfortunately, for this year’s event, the block of Third Avenue we have traditionally
occupied, specifically from Michigan Street to Nebraska Street, is no longer available for
show car parking. Losing that space means losing much of the street area needed to
properly and safely display the vehicles that have become part of the event over the years.
Because of this change, the Old Bolts Car Club made the difficult decision to discontinue
the car show as part of Harvest Festival. We felt it was important to share the reason for
the decision so there is a clear understanding within the community. While we know
there has been speculation about other reasons for ending the show, including the age of
our volunteers, that is simply not the case. Our members have remained committed and
willing to continue the event, but without the necessary downtown street space, we do not
feel we can provide the type of show participants and spectators have come to expect.
We are extremely grateful to our major sponsors, the many local businesses that
supported the event, the volunteers who dedicated countless hours, and especially the
thousands of participants and spectators who helped make the show successful for two
decades.
While we are saddened to see this chapter come to an end, we are proud of what the event
accomplished. Through the support of the community and participants, the Old Bolts Car
Club was able to raise and donate more than $140,000 to local nonprofit organizations
over the past 20 years.
We continue to wish the Harvest Festival and everyone involved much success in the
future. We are thankful to have been part of an event that brought so many people
together and created many lasting memories in downtown Sturgeon Bay
