This inaugural event showcases middle and high school student bands from Martin and St Lucie counties. Finalists from the YouTube contest will compete against each other at the historic Lyric Theatre. The Battle of the Bands is an event spearheaded by The Lyric League, an auxiliary group of The Lyric Theatre, to support local talented youth and to raise funds to expand The Lyric's arts and educati

on programs for students. The League is composed of area volunteers who understand the importance of the arts in the lives of the children as well as adults.
