Today, we received a call from a partner agency about a mother of six who is struggling after being asked to leave her apartment due to a $600 rent increase.

Despite earning a decent salary, she was unable to find a new place in time and now finds herself living in her car.

While her children are in camp and she has childcare arrangements, the sweltering nights in the vehicle are challenging.

She has chosen not to dip into her savings for a hotel, knowing it would quickly deplete her funds.

Shortly after, we heard from Crabby’s Port Salerno. He has been following our work and wanted to help.

Within a day, he generously donated to our program to help this family get back on their feet.

It's heartwarming to know that he was unaware of their situation, yet they happen to reside in the Salerno area – a wonderful coincidence that feels like fate.

We’ve got this from here, Crabbys!

If you haven't visited or supported Crabby's, we encourage you to do so.

Let's back local businesses that have stood the test of time and continue to give back, helping to restore our faith in humanity.

Supporting local nonprofits that assist families and children is a mutually beneficial endeavor.

I’d like to share how our collaboration makes a difference.

For the past ten years, Elev8hope and the YMCA have teamed up to empower families to thrive.

Today was just another example of our partnership in action.

Elev8hope recently encountered a situation where we needed to provide housing for a mother experiencing homelessness.

We stepped in to cover her housing and food needs. However, I reached out to Charlene Lyons, CEO of YMCA , for additional support.

Working diligently together, we managed to enroll the children in camp, allowing their mother to focus on her job and work towards achieving self-sufficiency.

Our joint efforts in securing housing and camp services helped prevent this mother from losing her job and stability.

Together, we can make a significant impact.

By donating to the YMCA, Elev8hope, or both, you’re directly contributing to the happiness and well-being of children in our community.

Our collaboration with the Hobe Sound Community Chest, Inc. is essential for the families facing hardships.

Recently, we were reached out to by Jenny Ojeda, program coordinator ,with whom we have a strong working relationship.

As Mother’s Day drew near, Jenny expressed her desire to support the mothers we serve in Hobe Sound with a meaningful gesture of love and assistance.

We assured her that if she gave us three days, we would have something special ready for her.

When she returned, she was amazed to see the beautiful Mothers Day baskets we had crafted for the mothers, each basket accompanied by a purse filled with hygiene essentials.

This partnership demonstrates how, together, we can extend our reach and bring light to those in need.

True partnership at its best!

About a year ago, I assisted a single father who was doing his best to raise his two young children. He was having a tough time, and we were able to give him some support to help him get back on his feet.

Today, he came by and hesitantly knocked on the door.
Dad: Ms. Rina, I’m sorry to ask, but do you happen to have a pack of diapers? I haven’t been here in over a year, and I don’t have a way to get around right now.
Me: Just a moment, please.

His eyes widened in surprise when he saw what we had prepared for him.

I lent him our wagon

Me: Please make sure to fill your pantry with food; I’ve also included some snacks and hygiene products. Take care, my friend.
You’re doing an incredible job as a father.
We see you !

Today, the door swung open and a woman burst in, clearly overwhelmed with distress. She had been directed to us by our affiliated agencies and simply stated, "They sent me here, but I have no idea why."

Her eyes were filled with tears, and she was visibly sweating. She looked at me and asked, "Do you know why I'm here?"

I replied that it was because she needed a hug. I wrapped my arms around her, holding her close for a few moments. She trembled in my embrace, completely shattered.

I encouraged her to share her story, as I was more interested in her voice than in any paperwork at that moment.

She explained that she needed to return her rental car and that she and her 7-year-old had nowhere to sleep.

I gently clarified that we are “not” a shelter.

We require participants to be employed, drug-free, felony free from violent charges and have their child enrolled in a camp; our program focuses on money management and provides housing, but we do not offer shelter directly.
Safety in communal living and shared spaces is top priority.
Our program is hard.
She was ready !

Although our home is currently at capacity, it was heartening to see how the other mothers graciously adjusted their own arrangements to accommodate this mother and her child.

We provided her with some basic food supplies, despite our pantry being stocked, and gifted her daughter a small token, a doll.

Tonight, she may be losing her car, but she has gained a roof over her head and a warm bed.

I extend my gratitude to the women in our home who made it possible for us to welcome another family in need.

The coffee is brewing, a hot meal is cooking in the oven, and a cozy bed awaits.

Rest easy tonight, momma.
We have your back.

And to our generous donors, this is all thanks to you.
Without your contributions, we wouldn't be able to support her.

We promise to elevate , transform, and empower her.

Love thy neighbor !

Ps. And if you have a car to donate please reach out to us.

Keyes Real Estate steps up !

Meet Isabel
She has been a long time donor who has worked with Elev8hope placing students in our home and stocked our pantry for years.
Isabel brought Sal, her broker, to meet me & gave me the opportunity to introduce him to the mission and heart behind Ms . Rina’s House of Blessings and Elev8Hope.

During their visit, both Isabel and Sal opened their hearts and made generous donations to help support a homeless mother and her children who are currently working toward rebuilding their lives.
Their compassion reminded me that even in difficult times, there are still people willing to stand beside those who are struggling. ❤️

As we toured the home, we shared stories about families who once faced sleeping in cars, living in fear, and not knowing where their children’s next meal would come from. We spoke about how, through love, support, financial education, and guidance, many of these families have been able to leave the streets behind and become completely independent and self-sufficient.

The truth is, there are so many mothers/dads/kids silently suffering in our communities right now.
Many are one paycheck, one illness, or one tragedy away from homelessness. Organizations like Ms Rina’s House of Blessings&Elev8Hope cannot do this work alone. It takes a community coming together -people willing to care, give, volunteer, mentor, and support the mission of restoring hope and dignity to families in crisis.

I also had the pleasure of inviting them to our Lip Sync Battle, where they joined us alongside their spouses, all of whom share a passion for supporting and uplifting the community. Seeing people come together for a greater purpose is always a reminder that hope is still alive.
If you’ve ever wondered how, you can make a difference, start by supporting the organizations in your own community that are fighting every day to help families survive and heal.

Whether through donations, partnerships, volunteering, or simply spreading awareness, every act of kindness matters more than you know.

Together, we can help families move from homelessness to hope. 🙏

As the cost of food continues to soar, it's crucial that we support our local families with children.

With summer upon us, many families struggle to access open schools that offer free meals. While some parents are putting in extra hours at work, their kids are still at home.

In response to this pressing need, we felt compelled to step up for our community.

That's when Winn-Dixie reached out to us with exciting news.

They generously donated two stand-up freezers to our community center, which is truly a game changer.

Although we already had four freezers, these new additions will enable us to serve even more families in need.

A heartfelt thank you to Winn-Dixie for their unwavering support of Elev8hope.

Together, we can make a difference for our neighbors.

If anyone is interested in helping us stock our freezers with meat, please feel free to contribute through the link provided.
Your support makes a real difference! Thank you!

As we come together this evening for the graduation ceremony of the South Fork High School Class of 2026, our hearts are heavy with sorrow.

Earlier today, we experienced a devastating loss when we learned that Christopher Brooks, one of our beloved students, tragically passed away in a car accident while heading to graduation practice.

Rest in peace, Christopher Brooks.
We Elev8hope for peace and understanding .

With the arrival of a new student, we encourage them to embrace the joy of outdoor exploration.
Since they're old enough to ride their bike to nearby parks, the gym, friends' houses, or even school, a world of adventure awaits.
A bicycle opens the door to countless experiences, just like this exciting new chapter at Ms. Rina’s House of Blessings.

Welcome to your new home!

In our fast-paced world, we often rush through life, barely taking a moment to notice the pain, sorrow, and struggles of those around us.
But what if we paused to truly see and understand their experiences? How can we extend our hands to help?

Recently, I received a heartfelt thank you card that deeply touched me. It reminded me that it’s not about the accolades displayed on our walls or the titles we hold. It’s about our shared humanity. It’s about the significance of taking the time to write a thank you note rather than just offering a quick verbal acknowledgment.
I also received a wallet card that reads “Women Who Change the World,” which I’ll cherish and carry with me always.

Thank you, Jessica, along with Chili the dog and your wonderful family. I'm grateful to have crossed paths with you and to have witnessed the community come together for a beloved pet.
