Community Awareness Opportunity – July 27, 2026

Human trafficking is not just a big‑city issue — it affects rural communities, families, and schools across our region. Rotary District 7570 is hosting a Human Trafficking Awareness, Education & Prevention Summit in Kingsport, TN, and we want to make sure our community knows about it.

This full‑day summit will bring together national and regional experts, survivor advocates, law enforcement, educators, and healthcare professionals to help us better understand:
• how trafficking shows up in rural areas
• what warning signs to look for
• how to report concerns safely
• how we can protect children and vulnerable individuals in our community

🗓 Monday, July 27, 2026
📍 Marriott MeadowView Resort & Convention Center, Kingsport, TN
💵 Registration: $20 (includes lunch)
🏨 Hotel block available for attendees

Speakers include leaders from the Tim Tebow Foundation, Rotary Action Group Against Slavery, the TN Bureau of Investigation, the Sentinel Foundation, New Creation VA, CCAHT, Destiny Rescue, and more.

If you work with youth, families, or vulnerable populations — or simply want to be more informed — this is an important opportunity for our region.

👉 Please share with anyone who may benefit.
👉 Registration link is available through the QR code on the event flyer.

Together, we can help keep our community safe. 💙

Pints for Valor • June 25 6-8 pm at Tin Pen Alley
Helping every hero’s banner fly with pride

As the Town of Stuart launches the Hometown Hero Banner Program, we want every family to have the chance to honor their veteran or active‑duty hero — no matter their financial situation.

That’s why we’re hosting Pints for Valor on June 25.

Funds raised will help offset the $135 banner cost for families and will also cover banners for those who cannot afford one. No hero should be left out of this tribute.

Rotary will have Livin' performing live, and Tin Pen Alley will be serving up great food for everyone. A $5 donation will be collected at the door for the banner project, and 100% of donations will go directly to the Town to support veterans, service members, and their families.

Join us for a night of fellowship, gratitude, and community support —
Together, we help every hero’s legacy take flight.

❤️🤍💙

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I purchase additional banners?

Yes. Families may order additional banners for personal display.

Can I get my banner back?

Yes. Families may request the return of their banner at any time.

What kind of photo is required?

A high-resolution digital image, preferably in uniform. Printed photos should be scanned at a local business before submission. Photos are not enhanced — what you send is what will be used.

Where will banners be displayed?

Display locations are selected by the Town of Stuart based on safety and visibility.

What if my hero’s name is longer than 17 characters?

A 17-character limit (including spaces and punctuation) keeps formatting consistent across all banners. If the full name is longer, please shorten it — for example, use a first initial with the last name, or the last name only — and enter that version on the application.

Is a biography required?

No. A short biography (up to 75 words) is optional, but it is encouraged — the Town keeps these on file to preserve the history of our local heroes for future projects.

Who maintains the banners?

The Town of Stuart is responsible for the installation, maintenance, storage, and seasonal display of all banners during the program.

The Stuart Rotary Club enjoyed a great program from Patrick County Chamber of Commerce Director Rebecca Jackson Adcock.

Rebecca is an incredible advocate for Patrick County and our local organizations, always going above and beyond to help our community grow, succeed, and thrive. We appreciate her leadership, enthusiasm, and dedication to making Patrick County such a special place to live and work.

Our club was also honored to present two donations in support of the Patrick County Dolly Parton Imagination Library:
📚 A $1,500 annual stakeholder contribution from the Stuart Rotary Club
🍻 A $595 donation raised through our Rotary On Tap – Pints For Pages event held earlier this spring.

We are proud to support programs that help put books into the hands of local children and encourage a lifelong love of reading throughout our community!

🎓 There’s nothing better than celebrating the young people who make our community proud.

The Rotary Scholarship Reception was a great time filled with smiling faces, proud families, fellowship, and lots of hometown pride as we honored our Stuart Rotary Student Loan & Scholarship Foundation scholarship recipients. Seeing these students recognized for their hard work, character, and bright futures reminds us why investing in the next generation matters so much.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate! To our scholarship recipients—your Rotary family is cheering you on, and we can’t wait to see where your journey takes you. Congratulations! 💙💛

🎶🔥 FRIDAY NIGHT CLOSER: JIM QUICK & COASTLINE 🔥🎶

We’re making Friday, June 12 something truly special — for the first time ever, Jim Quick & Coastline are closing out a Friday night at the Stuart Beach Music Festival.

A longtime festival favorite, Coastline brings that unmistakable Carolina beach music sound packed with soul, grit, and the kind of high‑energy performance that turns Wayside Park into one giant dance floor. Jim’s storytelling, powerhouse vocals, and crowd‑loving personality make every show feel like a reunion with old friends.

And while you’re soaking in the music, don’t miss their merch tent set up right beside the stage — it’s always stocked with fan favorites, new gear, and Coastline must‑haves you can only grab at the show.

This is the perfect way to cap off an already incredible Friday lineup.

Thank you, Tony’s Pizza & Pub — and every single person who came out Wednesday night for Pints for Paws!

Because of this incredible community, we raised $1,055 for the Blue Ridge Animal Welfare League to support their ongoing work for the animals of Patrick County.

We also collected 32 Kongs and peanut butter for BRAWL’s enrichment project, helping make shelter life a little brighter for the pets waiting on their forever homes.

We haven’t written the check yet, so there’s still time to add to the total.
