It’s Derby Day, Patrick County — and we’re ready for the loudest, rowdiest, most adrenaline‑packed night of fair season! Tonight, the Sarge & Sons Demolition Derby takes over the Patrick County Fairgrounds, and we can already hear those engines warming up.

Pints for Patrick County Partnerships — Support the Winning Project (Even If You Can’t Attend!)

This evening we’ll gather at Pickle & Ash from 6–8 PM for Pints for Patrick County Partnerships, where attendees will hear project pitches from local businesses and vote for the project they want Rotary and the Ruritans to complete.

If you can’t join us in person but still want to support the winning project, you can make a contribution online. Every donation goes directly toward helping bring the selected project to life.

Tomorrow evening from 6–8 PM at Pickle & Ash , we’re hosting Pints for Patrick County Partnerships, a night dedicated to celebrating local organizations and choosing our next community service project.

Local businesses will present projects that could benefit from a day of volunteer support. Attendees will hear each project pitch, learn how volunteer labor could make a difference, and then cast their vote for the project they want Rotary and the Ruritans to complete.

At the door, we will be collecting a $5 donation, which goes directly toward supporting the winning project and helping bring their idea to life.

One of the best parts of this event is that every attendee has a voice and a vote. Your participation directly shapes which project receives:

A day of volunteer service from Rotary & the Ruritans

All funds raised during the event

Community visibility and support to help bring the project to life

This event is all about neighbors supporting neighbors and giving our community a say in where our service can make the biggest impact.

Dolly Parton lived her life the way Rotarians strive to serve — with generosity, humility, and a heart that never stopped lifting others up. Her legacy is a masterclass in Service Above Self, and our community feels her loss deeply.

Dolly believed in showing up for people, especially children, and she turned that belief into action. Through the Imagination Library, she made sure every child — no matter their circumstance — had the chance to dream bigger. That’s the kind of service that changes generations.

CART Shoe Drive

The Rotary Club of Stuart is collecting gently used and new shoes to support CART — Coins for Alzheimer’s Research Trust.

Every pair helps two causes at once:

👟 Shoes go global — sent to micro‑enterprise partners in 20+ countries, helping families build small businesses.
💙 Funds stay local — every dollar earned goes directly to Alzheimer’s research through CART.

Drop shoes at the Demolition Derby, Patrick County Fair, or participating local businesses.
