This past year, members of the Martin County 4-H Teen Leadership Club participated in the Smithsonian’s Stories 4-History Project. They selected a topic related to their community, researched the topic, interviewed stakeholders about the topic, and then compiled all their information into this video.

We are now looking for 11-18 year olds who are interested in participating in the next round of this project. If you're interested, please contact Martin County 4-H Agent, David Hafner, for more information- [email protected].

The Martin County 4-H Archery Club is about much more than learning to shoot a bow. We build skills and confidence in archery and carry those lessons into everyday life.

Our members are developing focus, patience, discipline, responsibility, and confidence as they work to improve their archery skills. Each practice is an opportunity to learn something new, challenge themselves, and encourage one another.

Through 4-H, young people are becoming more focused, capable, and confident while having fun along the way!

The Martin County 4-H Fishing Club is about more than just catching fish. It’s about learning new skills, building relationships, and having fun together!

Our anglers put their skills to work while fishing for bluegill, bass, tilapia, and cichlids. Every fishing trip is an opportunity for our youth to grow their confidence, learn from one another, and enjoy the outdoors.

A huge THANK YOU to Hobe Sound Farmers Market for allowing our 4-H Fishing Club to fish on their lake! We appreciate your support of Martin County 4-H and the opportunities you provide for our youth.

The Martin County 4-H Teen Leadership Club visited the Stuart Heritage Museum as they prepare for an exciting civic engagement project with the Smithsonian Institute!

The teens explored Martin County’s history and learned more about the people, places, and events that have helped shape our community. A special thank you to Mrs. Woods, our docent, for guiding the group and sharing her knowledge!

Experiences like this help our teens connect the past to the present while developing the knowledge and confidence they need to become engaged citizens and community leaders. We’re excited to see how they take what they learned and put it into action with their upcoming Smithsonian project!
