🫶🏻 Saturday Flashback!

We’re taking a little trip back to last Saturday for a very special visit from two of our friends — Dio and our furry friend, Frankie! ❤️

Dio stopped by to generously share her talents, giving 10 wonderful clients a fresh haircut and a much-needed boost of confidence. What a gift! ✂️

But to her surprise, Dio had a little help in the Shower Shack from our longtime pal, Frankie! He was on duty, keeping an eye on things, greeting everyone who came through the door, and making sure everyone was on their very best behavior. 😉

We’re so grateful to Dio for sharing her time and talents with our clients — and, of course, to Frankie for taking his supervisory duties so seriously! 🐶❤️

It’s visits like these that remind us that kindness, generosity, and a little furry friendship can make someone’s day a whole lot brighter — because some of the best helpers have four legs! 🐾❤️

It’s time to shine the spotlight on our August Volunteer Highlight… Mrs. Murphy AKA Peach! 🍑

Peach has been a beloved member of the LAHIA volunteer family since she first joined us in 2023, and we are so grateful for all the heart she brings to our team!

Just this month alone, Peach has completed an incredible 56.8 volunteer hours! She has gone above and beyond, stepping in to fill last-minute gaps wherever she’s needed — whether helping with prep, tackling dishes, or even picking up an extra shift in the Shower Shack.

But it’s not just the hours that make Peach so special. It’s her willingness to jump in, her dependability, and the genuine care she shows to our clients and fellow volunteers. When help is needed, Peach is always ready to lend a hand. ❤️

Peach, thank you for being someone we can always count on and for giving so much of yourself to LAHIA. We appreciate you more than you know!

And, of course, we’re looking forward to many more Dinner with the Murphy nights at LAHIA! 🍽️❤️

Who says Chef Carla’s kitchen isn’t fun?! ❤️

Check out these throwback pics from our Thursday Art Workshop: The Art of Making Pasta! 🍝

What started as a fun, hands-on activity turned into something so much more meaningful. As our clients mixed, rolled, shaped, and shared stories, we started unlocking core memories — childhood moments in the kitchen, making pasta with family, and memories of loved ones that brought smiles. ❤️

That’s what makes our Art Workshops so special. Sometimes, creativity can open the door to memories you didn’t even realize were still there.

And of course… there was plenty of fun along the way! 😉

We can’t wait to bring even more culinary creativity into Chef Carla’s kitchen later this year! ❤️

✝️❤️ Saturday Throwback!!! ❤️✝️

Last Saturday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Palm City Presbyterian Church for a day of volunteering! Several members of their church family came out and jumped right in, helping in all areas of LAHIA and lending a hand wherever they were needed.

We absolutely love opening our doors to large volunteer groups — whether they’re a local company, church group, organization, or members of our community. There is something so special about bringing people together to serve and make a difference. 🫶🏻

But when groups return again and again… they become more than a helping hand. They become part of the LAHIA community. ❤️💪🏻

We are so grateful to Palm City Presbyterian for serving alongside us and supporting our mission. Thank you for spending your Saturday with us! We can’t wait to welcome you back again. ❤️
