A note from The Linnea Foundation cofounder Lisa Klimek Mills, the mother of Linnea Rose Mills:
We truly wish for peace and healing for everyone impacted by Linnea's tragic death during a PADI SCUBA diving training led by Gull Dive in Glacier National Park, Montana on November 1, 2020. The civil case has been settled by all parties.
There is much to be said about the heroes of that awful day and all the days that followed, and there is a great need to celebrate their selfless acts of courage and the people that worked on our behalf to bring this to closure. These stories will be told, and told with much gratitude.
We do not yet know if a federal criminal case will be reopened, but our understanding is that additional information has been provided to the AUSA (Assistant US Attorney) for consideration for reopening the criminal investigation.
I hope my daughter’s all too short life continue to send out ripples that grow into waves. In memory of Linnea we have established the Linnea Foundation, a 501©3 nonprofit organization, which will soon launch its first web site. With our son and Linnea’s only sibling, Nick Mills, at the helm of the organization, and an amazing board of directors and other volunteers, this nonprofit organization aims to carry forward Linnea’s legacy and make a positive difference in the world as Linnea once dreamed she would do. The journey has already begun and we hope you will join us as we turn our pain into purpose.
