The 98th National FFA Convention is in the books, and our members certainly made their mark on this historical convention!

🥈 The Conduct of Chapter Meetings team of Kyra, Tommy, Max, Brook, Paityn, Klaire, and Annie earned a silver rating. They, along with alternates Austin and Alyssa, culminated a journey that started in 7th grade with an incredible performance.

🥈 The Parliamentary Procedure team of Hunter, MaKayla, Ben, Addie, Luke, and Dawson earned a silver rating. This team of now college freshman began learning parliamentary procedure together on their 7th grade CCM team, and finished with a strong showing at the national level.

⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ We were recognized as a Three Star Chapter for the National Chapter Award, which is the highest ranking a chapter can earn.

These members are to be commended for their outstanding accomplishments! While everyone dreams of being a national champion, we must not forget the growth which has occurred through the years preparing for this experience. Watching these teams work with each other at a high level of synergy is inspiring, and we look forward to seeing these young leaders continue to live their legacy.

As the weather gets colder, it’s the perfect time for a new blanket! Purchase a raffle ticket at the football game today, or contact Tammy Heiser if you won’t be there but would still like a ticket. Tammy will be set up by the concession stand, and some CCM team members will have tickets at the game. We will draw for the winner at the game!

Congratulations to our 39 members competing at state convention this week!! We wish the best of luck to our three State Star Finalists, 6 proficiency finalists, 2 choir members, and competitors in 15 competitive events. And of course, we will be cheering on our own Brynn Almgren as she completes her term of service as Nebraska FFA State Secretary!

On February 5, the following seniors interviewed and were recommended to receive their State FFA Degrees: Jameson Estill, Addison Ketteler, Benjamin Paxton, Reagan Stracke, Hunter Tubbs, MaKayla Menke, Dawson Heiser, Gracie Kaup, Luke Ludwig, Megan Karo, and Blake Wallinger. The State FFA Degree is the highest degree a state FFA association may bestow.

Additionally, three of these students were named District Stars and will advance to state competition. A district may choose two Stars in each area (Agribusiness, Placement, Production, and Research). Stuart's district Stars are Luke Ludwig - Agribusiness, Jameson Estill - Agriculture Placement, and Blake Wallinger - Agriculture Placement.

The Stuart FFA Chapter had a tremendous day at the District X Leadership Development Event held at West Holt on January 15th. Our chapter was crowned LDE Sweepstakes Champion, and qualified a number of members for state convention. Results are as follows:

Friendly reminder that our annual product sales end this Wednesday, November 20th at 4 p.m. This is the only fundraiser we conduct each year, and the money earned from it has to support our chapter to pay entry fees for each contest, conferences students attend, state and national convention, and hotels associated with these events.

Congratulations to William Paxton for earning a silver medal in Prepared Public Speaking at the National FFA Convention! He represented Nebraska and our chapter well. We are so proud of his efforts!

We also got to see our chapter member, Brynn Almgren, who is the current Nebraska FFA State Secretary!
