We are honored to announce that a new sign has been placed at the Future Home of the Women of Valor Memorial Site, located at 3624 Route 78 in Strykersville.

This milestone was made possible thanks to the generous donation of the sign and installation by VSP Graphic Group (Trace & Trey George). We are deeply grateful for their support.

Our team is currently finalizing all legal documentation and preparing to hire a grant writer to help raise funds for 2026/2027. Transparency and open communication remain at the heart of our mission as we move forward.

We are proud to share that Karen Matyjakowski has been honored with a New York State Women of Distinction Proclamation. This recognition celebrates Karen’s extraordinary dedication, leadership, and service to our community.

A lifelong supporter of veterans and community initiatives, Karen’s tireless commitment has touched countless lives and strengthened the values we hold dear. She has led numerous fundraisers and outreach efforts, including the Women of Valor Memorial Project honoring fallen female heroes.

Her example inspires us all to lead with compassion, courage, and vision.

Supporting the Women of Valor National Memorial 🇺🇸

At our August meeting, representatives from the Women of Valor National Memorial spoke with us about their project to honor women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. We were proud to make a donation to support their efforts and welcome them to set up a booth in our parking lot during the AppleUmpkin Festival.

We’re honored to support this meaningful memorial being built in Strykersville, NY and the important mission behind it.

Western New York Regional Director Philip Gow, Jr., representing the Office of Congresswoman Claudia Tenney, recently met with committee members and visited the land donated for the future Women of Valor Memorial Site, Veterans and Community Center in Strykersville, NY. His visit offered heartfelt support and opened meaningful dialogue about the vision and impact of this landmark project.

This extraordinary initiative will serve as the nation's only National Women of Valor Memorial Site, dedicated to honoring the legacy of women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Beyond remembrance, the center will provide vital services, programs, and resources to support all veterans and strengthen the surrounding community.

With deep gratitude for those who served and a bold commitment to those who continue to serve, this project stands as a beacon of valor, unity, and hope.

Hi Everyone, We have a sun filled weekend at Appleumpkin spreading the word on Women of Valor Memorial Site. We were honored to have our tent by the Wyoming Hook & Ladder Co. which presented our group with a donation. Phillip Gow Jr., Western New York Regional Director for Congresswoman Claudia Tenney, stopped by for a visit. Looking forward to returning next year. Enjoy the pictures!

We had an amazing first day at The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Moving Wall spreading the word on the Women of Valor Memorial and Veterans & Community Center Project. Please stop by to see the group. The event is held from September 25-29 at the National War Plane Museum in Geneseo, NY. Enjoy the pictures.
