I would like to thank everyone who donated or put time towards my summit award project. We were able to put together 155 overnight parent bags & 24 kids activity bags for Akron Children's Hospital.

My name is Kent Hilderbrand I am a member of Venturing Crew 101, and am currently working towards earning my Summit Award, the highest rank in Venturing. I have put together a service project making over night bags to distribute to parents at Akron Children’s hospital. I am asking for donations of cosmetic bags and travel sized toiletries such as shampoo, tooth brushes, tooth paste, soap, body wash, etc. I will also be accepting monetary donations to purchase items. Items will be collected at scout meetings until the first week of April.

Mr. Johnson will be offering First Aid and CPR training at the Struthers Parkside Church on Sunday, March 5 from noon till 2.
It is open to all scouts, leaders and parents.

Update from Kent: I have received a large donation of cosmetic bags and conditioner. We are in need of monetary donations, soap, shampoo, tooth brushes, tooth paste, combs, or anything else you might feel would be nice to put into a overnight bag. Even though my project is making over nights I have attached the hospitals wish list. In case you have any items laying around at home. Thank you!

No Crew meeting this Thursday due to parent teacher conferences. The troop is still meeting.

Reminders: next Thursday 2/23 is the court of honor. Please dress in full uniform, no jeans. Friday the 24th we are volunteering at a pasta dinner in Struthers. Time TBA. March 4th is scout night at the phantoms game. For tickets email Jeff ASAP.

Continue bringing in donations for Kent's project. If you don't have any items he is looking for please consider a monetary donation, so needed items can be purchased.

Happy 19th Birthday Venturing!

As you may know, February 9th marks Venturing’s nineteenth birthday! Throughout the years, the Venturing program that we hold near and dear to our hearts, has provided adventure, leadership, personal growth, and service opportunities to thousands of youth throughout the nation. More importantly, it has given the future generation of our world’s leaders the memories and experiences that will last a lifetime and shape them into responsible citizens.
