Thanks to our amazing community, we raised $477 for the Pocono Mountains United Way through our September Brew Good, Do Good initiative! Every pint of Navigator Gold poured at Barley Creek helped make a difference, proving that good b**r can do a whole lot of good.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who raised a glass and gave back. Cheers to drinking b**r and doing good! 🍺💛

Registration is now open for Holiday Gift programs for children, ages birth to 12 years old, at PVEN Food Pantry and East Stroudsburg Salvation Army.

Celebrating Little Graduates🎓

Our Community Impact Manager, Roxanne Powell, was out and about in the community again last week!

Roxanne attended a celebration for 20 young graduates from Lehigh Valley Hospital - Pocono's Nurse Family Partnership. It was a wonderful opportunity to encourage families to talk, read, sing, and play together every day.

BEST OF ALL - Each child took home 3 books for story time!📚🤩

Check out this WNEP news story that includes our Director of Housing Initiatives Tom Campbell. With the price of heating oil sky high, households will have to start saving now to have enough money for an oil delivery ❄️🌨️

Residents are encouraged to seek help if needed to pay for their electric bills, even to seek out assistance programs like SNAP, or utilize food pantries, to help free up income to pay for bigger bills like rent and those upcoming winter heating bills.

As the cost of home heating oil is on the rise, Newswatch 16's Emily Kress spoke with officials who are bracing for a rough winter.

😁LET'S SHARE KINDNESS!🙂

Our Community Impact Manager, Roxanne Powell, worked with Pocono Services for Families and Children, Inc. on an extra special project for this year's Day of Caring called Let's Share Kindness.

During this new project, 198 PreK students and 67 teachers, from PSFC's 3 Monroe County centers, created cards for homebound seniors served by Monroe County Meals on Wheels.

The Let's Share Kindness project helped teach students that volunteerism and community pride can begin at any age!! ⭐

Children received a t-shirt and other giveaways made especially for the Let's Share Kindness project thanks to funds from the Too Small to Fail initiative. This is funded by the Clinton Foundation and is part of a statewide campaign encouraging parents and caregivers to talk, read, and sing with their children. United Way of Pennsylvania
