In the early morning hours of February 24th, Vladimir Putin ordered his military to begin the invasion of the neighboring country, Ukraine. In the days that have followed, unable to defeat the Ukrainian armed forces in the field, the Russian military has resorted to targeting civilian infrastructure. They are subjecting the innocent population of Ukraine to constant and indiscriminate shelling des
igned to break the will of the Ukrainians by killing as many of them as possible. In this moment, we here in the Poconos have the ability to add our voices to the growing global chorus and declare that we oppose Putin’s unjustified and illegal war, we believe in the right of free peoples to choose their own destiny, thus we stand united behind the people of Ukraine. We are asking for donations to support Ukrainian solders, refugees and the people suffering in Ukraine.
