We would like to thank everyone who supported the VFW Post 3345 Fish Fry this year. We hope you had a wonderful experience at our post; we strive for great service and great food at our Fish Frys!

Starting around the middle of May, you will probably see some of us around the local businesses for our annual Poppy Drive. One Hundred percent (100%) of the money collected from the Poppy Drive goes towards our local veterans in need.

VFW Post 3345 members, there are still spots available where volunteers are needed to help with the Poppy Drive. Anyone that is able to sign up for a 3-hour shift would be greatly appreciated. Please stop by the post and see one of the bartenders for the sign-up sheet.

We also hope to see you at our Outdoor Summer Concerts which are also open to the public. This year we will have four outdoor concerts: Moxie will start the season on June 20th, The Ninja Cowboys (July 25th), Custard Pie (August 15th), and Ace Molar will end the season on August 29th. Information on these concerts can be found on our VFW Post 3345 website as well as our post and auxiliary Facebook sites.

Thank you again for supporting our VFW Post 3345 Fish Fry!!

Have a safe summer! Until next time we meet.

THANK YOU very much for all of the great items that were donated for the Veterans Christmas Wish List. We were amazed at how many items were received; all needed for our veterans at the Cleveland Louis Stokes VA Medical Center, the Cleveland VA Fisher House and VA Outpatient Clinics in Northeast Ohio. Everything has been taken down to each facility and will be dispersed to our veterans and their families. Thank you so much again for your generosity. May you have a very Merry Christmas and a Safe, Healthy and Happy New Year.

Call to Action (VFW Action Alert) – Your Help is Needed -- Please contact your Congressman on these Veterans Issues

#1 Veterans Deserve Safer Treatment Options

Veterans are being prescribed powerful psychiatric medications, often several at once, without clear written information about the risks. Many were never warned about severe side effects or dangerous drug interactions. Others are left with few PTSD treatment options beyond medication, even when innovative therapies could offer real relief.

#2 Support Our Student Veterans by Cosponsoring H.R. 1965

The Post-9/11 GI Bill changed lives, helping millions of veterans earn degrees and launch new careers. But the book stipend that helps them afford textbooks and supplies hasn’t been adjusted since 2009.

That means every year, student veterans lose ground to inflation. Textbooks, lab equipment, and online materials now cost far more than the $1,000 annual stipend provides.
