We would like to thank everyone who supported the VFW Post 3345 Fish Fry this year. We hope you had a wonderful experience at our post; we strive for great service and great food at our Fish Frys!

Starting around the middle of May, you will probably see some of us around the local businesses for our annual Poppy Drive. One Hundred percent (100%) of the money collected from the Poppy Drive goes towards our local veterans in need.

VFW Post 3345 members, there are still spots available where volunteers are needed to help with the Poppy Drive. Anyone that is able to sign up for a 3-hour shift would be greatly appreciated. Please stop by the post and see one of the bartenders for the sign-up sheet.

We also hope to see you at our Outdoor Summer Concerts which are also open to the public. This year we will have four outdoor concerts: Moxie will start the season on June 20th, The Ninja Cowboys (July 25th), Custard Pie (August 15th), and Ace Molar will end the season on August 29th. Information on these concerts can be found on our VFW Post 3345 website as well as our post and auxiliary Facebook sites.

Thank you again for supporting our VFW Post 3345 Fish Fry!!

Have a safe summer! Until next time we meet.

Dear Members of VFW Post 3345,

As we enter the most joyous season of Christmas, we pause in reverence and gratitude to reflect upon the birth of Jesus Christ, whose life and teachings call us to humility, sacrifice, and faithful service to others. This holy season reminds us that the truest measure of our character is found not in what we receive, but in what we willingly give.

Many members of VFW Post 3345 have answered the call to serve our nation, and that same spirit of service continues today through your dedication to this Post, to your fellow veterans, and to our community. As we look ahead to 2026, let us be inspired to give even more of our time, talents, and compassion to strengthen our fellowship, uplift those in need, and ensure that no veteran stands alone.

Please remember that although our canteen provides us with the camaraderie most of us need, the true meaning of VFW 3345 reaches way beyond the walls of that building. It stretches throughout our community, and those that surround us. Our post is known from shore to shore for the work we do, and although it can’t be compared to the Star of Bethlehem that lit the sky the night Christ was born, we are a beacon of hope for many.

From Linda and I, we wish all our VFW extended family a very Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with hope, purpose, and prosperity. Thank you for all you do, and may the coming year bring even greater opportunities for us to serve and support one another. God bless you all!

Sincerely,

Tim Zvoncheck
Commander, VFW Post 3345
Judge Advocate, VFW Dept of Ohio

Yesterday VFW Post 3345 received a call from a man questioning the reason why we have our flags lowered to half-staff. He was told that the order came from the POTUS in honor of Charlie Kirk, who was senselessly assassinated by a heartless individual.

This man seemed perturbed by this, but nonetheless, the order came from the President and we follow those orders. Those of us who raised our hand and took the oath to defend this nation, swore to “obey the orders of the President of the United States and the officers appointed over us”. As a VFW, that oath stands firm today just as it did so many years ago.
