Congratulations to DC6 Business Manager/Secretary-Treasurer Jim Black as he takes the oath of office as a Vice President of the Ohio AFL-CIO!

This is a proud moment for District Council 6 and a strong representation of our members at the statewide level. Jim’s new role gives DC6 a seat at the table alongside labor leaders from across Ohio as we continue fighting for union workers, strong wages, good benefits, and the future of the building trades.

🎉 100 YEARS STRONG — LOCAL 841! 🎉

A century of craftsmanship, solidarity and union pride! IUPAT Local 841 Painters & Drywall Finishers proudly celebrates 100 years since being chartered on May 20, 1926.

To recognize this incredible milestone, Summit County Assistant Chief of Staff/Communications Greta Johnson presented Local 841 Business Representative Scott Harter with a proclamation honoring the Local’s 100th Anniversary.

For a century, generations of Local 841 members have carried the craft forward, strengthened our communities and stood together in solidarity. Here’s to the members who built the first 100 years — and those who will build the next

Skilled hands. Historic craftsmanship. A piece of Ohio history being preserved. 🏛️🎨 Local 1275 Commercial Painters Freddie Bury, Gary Abdon, and Steve Butler are putting their skills to work on the exterior restoration of the historic Ohio Bell Building in Upper Arlington with Kendrick-Mollenauer. Projects like this are a reminder that our members don’t just work on buildings—they help preserve the landmarks and communities around us for generations to come. Union skill. Union pride. Built to last.
