Thank you for coming to visit the 6th annual Akron Sakura Festival, which was held on April 4th, 2026.

We lucked out with the summery weather despite the roller coaster weather we had early on. The festival turned out well with a cheerful crowd.

This year made the festival special for us because we were awarded a proclamation from the city of Akron. Our honorary chairman, Mr. Hashimoto, participated in the ceremony. The number of cherry trees we donated and collaborated with the city of Akron to plant exceeded 470 this year.

We are very pleased that our cherry trees have become a spring highlight in Akron. Every year, more people visit the festival, and it is becoming larger in scale.

Lastly, we appreciate the Consulate-General of Japan in Detroit for visiting the festival.

May it be a happy spring and a great year!

P.S. You can view some photos from the festival on our Japanese blog below.
