Our River Rock Adult Day Program started a new volunteer partnership with Buckeye's Missions and Sanctuary this week! Our participants enjoyed meeting the staff (and the animals!) and learning about the sanctuary - before getting right to work. We are excited about this new way to give back to the community, build life skills, and make a difference together.

Thank you to the team from Planet Fitness who spent the day at Camp Cheerful prepping and staining one of our fences. Love the motto on their t-shirts - "flexing good"! And grateful they chose to flex good on our behalf!

We have a wonderful follow-up to this summer's Strongsville Duck Race & Kids Fest. Camp Cheerful loved hosting this year's event - and last week we gratefully accepted a generous check from Rotary Club of Strongsville as a proud recipient of the Duck Race proceeds! Thank you to everyone who supported the event.

Each September, our Board of Directors meeting focuses on welcoming new Board members and thanking those whose terms are ending.
Last night, we welcomed new members Jose Gonzalez-Magaz, Mark Tracy, Marvin Bai, and Lauren Wojtowicz (pictured) and Nicole Hilbert and Emily Lord (not pictured). We also recognized Mary Kim Elkins for her incredible 12 years of service on our Board.
Since the meeting was hosted at Camp Cheerful, Board members learned about this summer's camp programs from camp leaders and by hearing first hand about our impact from camp parents.
What a wonderful evening!
