Empowering and preparing youth for success by providing positive youth development. 4-H creates opportunities for youth to use their skills to influence and impact others by offering targeted youth education programs to address Illinois issues. 4-H is a voluntary, informal education program for young people ages 8-18, as of September 1st of the current 4-H year.
4-H Cloverbuds is a program for younger children who are 5-7 years old.

4-H FOOD DRIVE CHALLENGE!
It’s Henderson 4-H vs. Knox 4-H vs. McDonough 4-H vs. Warren 4-H in a friendly competition to help give back to our communities!
From October 1 through November 16, each county will be accepting canned goods at their local Extension Office. All donations will go directly to food pantries in their respective counties before Thanksgiving. We encourage our clubs to work together to donate the most canned goods, spices, and nonperishable items to help their county win the contest!
How will we determine the winner?
To make the competition fair between counties of different sizes, we’ll calculate the total number of canned goods collected per 4-H member in each county. The county with the highest percentage will be crowned the winner!
📅 Due: November 16
📍 Drop-off: Your county Extension Office
The county with the largest percentage of canned goods collected will be rewarded with Popcorn Party boxes that our members can enjoy at their next club meeting!
Let’s see which county can collect the most and make the biggest impact in their community!

The 4-H State Archery Shoot:

Congratulations to Isaac, Ethan, and Audrey Mohr for their exceptional performance at the 4-H State Archery Competition held in Pekin on September 19, 2026.

Isaac and Ethan achieved remarkable results, securing first and second place, respectively, in the senior compound bow division, with Isaac recording a top score of 845 and Ethan closely following with a score of 815—an outstanding achievement. Additionally, their younger sister, Audrey Mohr, earned second place in the junior division with a score of 835 in junior compound bow.

Isaac and Ethan are strong candidates to represent their region at the upcoming National Archery Competition in Grand Island, Nebraska, scheduled for June 2027. We look forward to their potential participation.

Their 4-H Archery instructor, Mr. Jeff Hudgens, attributes their success entirely to their hard work, talent, dedication, and the unwavering support of their family.

We wish the Mohr family all the best and would be delighted to see Isaac and Ethan compete at the National level in Grand Island.
