School is back in session which means C4 is packing Friday Foods. Friday Foods program provides food for children on the weekend when school meals are not available. If you wish to have your child receive Friday Foods, please contact either Mrs. Blaisdell at CCES or Mrs. Andrea Eidman at CCJHSH. The only requirement is that they attend Chase County schools.

If you are thinking of donating to the C4 Food Pantry, please consider items for our weekend backpack program called Friday Foods. It provides food to students when school meals aren’t available. Thank you.

The newly formed Chase County Health and Wellness coalition met for a second planning meeting with Ty Kane from the Wichita State University Center for Community Engagement Institute. Thank you to all the volunteers that helped this week with C4 Food Pantry Distribution.

These generous people gave their time and energy to
— unload a semi and stock our pantry,
— pick up and unload milk, eggs and bread,
— to fill boxes for our Outreach guests,
— use their personal vehicles to deliver Outreach boxes to three different communities in our county,
— assist our guests during Distribution with selecting, packing groceries, and taking bags to their cars.

It takes a village of generous persons to work on food insecurity.

2ND ANNOUNCEMENT. There will NOT be any boxes available during Distribution starting on August 15th at 10-12 noon. (Please DO NOT bring your own boxes!). Bring your C4 bags and personal shopping bags. We will have plastic bags available. This is for the safety of our volunteers. Thank you.
