The Foodbank, Inc. Is More Than Food, It’s Community!
On June 16th, members of (Founder/President, Bryant “Bee1ne” Harvey, Co-Founder/Community Outreach Manager, Sonya Callahan, and Board member, Conroy Clarke) had the wonderful opportunity to tour The Foodbank Inc. led by Lee Lauren (Alder) Truesdale/Chief Development Officer.
The TSC Foundation was simply in awe of everything that they learned and saw and quickly realized that The Foodbank, Inc. is much more than just a food distributor but is also an organization that offers several programs that helps build stronger communities!
We loved everything about the tour! We took a picture with staff in their Urban Garden build on pavement which was so cool, experienced their greenhouse where they grow fresh green lettuce too beautiful to eat, was blown away by their on-site Drive-Thru, and we saw their awesome new Community Center where we look forward to hosting an event in the near future!
Thanks again Lee, for you are wonderful! Congratulations again to you and The Foodbank Inc. on achieving 50 Years of Service!!!! The TSC Foundation looks forward to implementing some of those ideas we discussed because we are truly excited and are grateful for the partnership!
