Today we went to the CAST For Kids Lake Belton event. Anthony had a great time catching fish and enjoying the boat ride!

SO MANY FISH CAUGHT!!!!

Grayson caught this 9.5lb hybrid striper on Jonathan Kaplan’s boat!
Jonathan is the CAST For Kids Lake Buchanan coordinator and drove about 3hrs to put Grayson on that big fish!

Thank you to all the boat captains that donated their time and experience to put these kids on fish!

We would like to give a shout out to The Harbor Restaurant for allowing us to use their pavilion for the 3rd year in a row! If you have never been there, on the water, great food from fried food to perfectly cooked steaks and seafood …… and they have a great adult drink menu as well - sit inside or on the lakeside patio - worth the visit!!!!!

Saturday morning we will have  Eternal water and Poppi donated by Ben E Keith Beverages. Big thanks to Terry Hawkins Guide Service for securing that donation.

Terry is new to guiding, but not new to fishing. Give him a try you won’t be disappointed! His boat is top notch along with his knowledge!

We are about 3 weeks away from our event on May 17th

Right now we have 25 kids registered and 13 boats. If we don’t have any more sign up we should be good, but in the past we have had unregistered kids show up.

If you have the time and the want to help please register as a volunteer boat captain and help a special kid have a great morning of no pressure fishing.

The local guides will let you follow them to catch fish.

REGISTRATION IS OPEN!!!
Free fishing event for special kids!
May 17th, 2025

Please if you know anyone in the special needs community make them aware of this event.
Minimum age is 6yrs old, but there is no maximum age limit.
We have 38 spots available!
Please register so we can plan accordingly!

The Harbor Restaurant has once again graciously donated their amazing venue!

The local fishing guides on Richland Chambers and a bunch of volunteer boaters donate a morning of fishing for special people.
