Good news, folks, we have more Saturday Seedlings fun coming up!🚜🩵👩‍🌾

Teach your kiddos about farms on a real working farm with LFT and the Wittel Farm! Join us on September 12th to learn all about harvests, how farmers gather the food we eat, and how summer harvests are part of the bigger seasonal cycle. Plus, enjoy the benefits of the harvest season by making farm-fresh pickles with your kiddos!🥒

This is a shared experience for families to learn and get their hands dirty together. Sessions are designed for children aged 5-8, but we welcome all children to explore, create, and participate at their own comfort level. Click the link below to register now:

We want to thank our Saturday Seedlings sponsor, American Dairy Association North East, for making these sessions possible!

Every two months, Mr. King spread another layer of "farmer's gold" on his fields — manure from his 50 dairy cows. But without the right storage, that gold sometimes ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time, putting nearby streams at risk. 🌾💧

That's where LFT stepped in. From new manure storage to riparian buffers and streambank fencing, we work with farmers like Mr. King to protect both the land and the water running through it. Because protecting farmland IS protecting water! Click the link below to learn more about how preservation, conservation, and stewardship work together to keep Lancaster's streams clean and farms healthy!
