Stoystown Lions is a club under the Lions Clubs International. We are a local volunteer group that support charity organizations.

Student of the Month for April. Kolten Lohr is a student at North Star High School. He is a member of the National Honor Society and the Mu Alpha Theta. He also was a member of the golf team and the basketball team where he was selected as a captain for his senior year. Kolten plans to attend Slippery Rock University to study exercise science with the goal of becoming a physical therapist.

Since January the Stoystown Lions have donated almost $2000 to the Stoystown Fire Company, the Dolly Parton Library Foundation, Somerset Ramps R Us, The Somerset County Humane Society and the Somerset Counties Su***de Prevention Task Force; Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team and the Special Olympics. At our February Meeting several of the Gold Metal Award winners from the recent games held at Seven Springs attended to personally thank us for our support.

Our February Student of the Month. Rylee Boone is a student at Shanksville-Stonycreek High School who is actively involved in academics, leadership, and service. She serves as Chapter FFA President, County FFA Secretary, National Honor Society Treasurer, Student Council Treasurer, and is a member of SADD. Rylee also works at Roof Garden Market and values time with her friends, family, and church community.

She is currently an Early College student at Allegheny College of Maryland and will complete all nursing prerequisites before graduating high school. In the fall, Rylee plans to attend Allegheny College of Maryland to earn her RN, with goals of working in a hospital and continuing her education to become a Nurse Practitioner specializing in women’s health.

Braylon Wildenmann is Stoystown Lions November Student of the Month
Braylon, a senior at Somerset Area High School, is set to begin studying heavy equipment operation and equipment technical support at Penn Tech in the fall of 2026. He currently works at Weavers Custom Sawing in Rockwood whenever he's not hunting or tinkering in his garage. This winter, Braylon plans to finish restoring his late father's 1965 Mustang, which he hopes to drive to his graduation.
