Why the Sabbath?

We get some insight into God's purposes in Psalm 92, whose heading reads, "For the Sabbath day." Interestingly, the psalm pictures both flourishing and destruction—evildoers and righteous people. But instead of spending time worrying about the here-and-now, Psalm 92 fixes our eyes upward:

“How great are your works, LORD!
How profound your thoughts!”

The Sabbath is a reminder that all things fall within a world governed by God, whose purposes are bigger than the moment we can currently see.

The Bantè workshop didn’t start with Scriptura knocking on a door. It started with a community knocking on Scriptura’s.

After a previous arts workshop with the Incà community, we came back to find that the impact was real. Songs were being sung. The community was engaging with the Psalms in their own language. And they wanted more.
