Scriptura equips Bible translators with scholarly resources, tools, and training to overcome the difficulty of translating Hebrew poetry, preserving the accuracy and beauty of the Psalms so that all people can experience God’s Word in their own language—a

The impact of Scripture engagement doesn't stop with the one who receives it. When Scripture is translated, taught, sung, and prayed, it happens in community.

We invite you to join us in this community. Registration is still open for our upcoming Quarterly Day of Prayer. We would love for you to join believers from across our community as we gather around the Psalms in prayer. Link: https://forms.gle/Nj8k4uy4rkmbNKeh6

Reading the Bible is not a solitary activity.

Throughout history, Scripture has been translated, taught, sung, and prayed in community. We saw a fresh example of this in a workshop serving Asia and beyond. As it concluded, participants immediately spoke of the communities they hoped to serve next: translation teams, churches, ministry networks, fellow workers, and local language groups.

Careful biblical study is meant to become the language of God's people.

The Psalms are not only to inform us, but to teach us how to approach the Lord in praise, grief, repentance, and trust. That is why Scriptura’s upcoming Quarterly Day of Prayer (June 11) feels like a proper culmination of this work.

We will gather not simply to talk about the Psalms, but to pray them. We would love for you to join us. Registration link in bio.

Throughout this month, we've reflected on the stewardship of entrusted words. But biblical stewardship doesn't end once a text is carefully understood. It reaches its true purpose when God’s people can actually use those words well—to praise, to lament, to ask, to trust.

That is why our next Quarterly Day of Prayer on June 11 (9am ET) feels like the natural capstone to this conversation. We would love for you to join us (www.scriptura.org/links).

Shortcuts do not remain hidden for long.

Hasty conclusions in study will eventually surface in translation. Gaps in preparation will impact worship. What is assumed too quickly will shape another person’s understanding of how to speak to God.

Prayer serves as a reminder to slow down and lift up our work to God. On June 11, at Scriptura’s Quarterly Day of Prayer, we will use the Psalms themselves as language for worship, lament, and intercession. We invite you to join us: forms.gle/Nj8k4uy4rkmbNKeh6.

Biblical resources are not isolated pieces of information.

They become foundations under someone else’s teaching, translating, and praying. This is what makes stewardship sober work. We are never handling words for ourselves alone.

Sometimes the key to faithfulness is simply slowing down.

Reading slowly can be the catalyst for key insights. Studying slowly lays the foundation for trustworthy resources. And setting aside time for prayer ensures that our work is worship.

We invite you to our upcoming Quarterly Day of Prayer, Thurs., June 11, 9am-12pm Eastern. To register, visit: www.scriptura.org/links.

What happens if we hurry past verses in our Bibles?

In Psalm 26:9, David says, “Do not sweep away my soul with sinners.” Read quickly, it sounds like apprehension and fear. But read it through the lens of poetic force, verbal nuance, and covenant setting, and a picture emerges of assurance rather than anxiety.

This is a dynamic we explored in this week's newsletter. To subscribe, visit www.scriptura.org/newsletter-signup.

What is "internalization"? It's the product of faithful, often unseen work. Yet it's essential to capturing the truth and beauty of biblical poetry in translation.

This week, we had the opportunity to meet for Making a Difference, where Nikki shared on what it takes to do this vital work. If you missed the session, you can watch it at www.scriptura.org/making-a-difference-2.

When we hear stories of strengthened teaching or clearer translation, our eyes naturally go to the moment of impact. What we don't see as easily is all the quiet labor that goes into it in the beginning.

We recently had the chance to hear from Nikki, who has faithfully labored to bring the Psalms to communities that do not yet have them. Watch this session of Making a Difference here: www.scriptura.org/making-a-difference-2.

On a quarterly basis, we’ll host Making a Difference gatherings so the Equippers and the Equipped can meet, hear stories, and better understand how God is using each part of the body.
