This October, come enjoy the 5K Rainforest Fun Run at the Stow Community Park! This family-friendly event offers food, prizes, and an opportunity to help save endangered species. The profit from this race will directly support Rainforest Trust, a nonprofit dedicated to protecting tropical habitats by creating legally-recognized areas of conservation.

A "Fungus" is an organism that lives mostly underground and survives by breaking down organic material with enzymes and other processes. A "Mushroom" is a growth seen above the ground and is generally a small portion of the fungus; it is often produced as part of how a fungi releases spores for reproduction.

Gordon Landis has experience with nature and outdoors. He is a retired engineer and has led walks in Stow. Walk will be family friendly. Recommend that participants wear clothing appropriate for the weather including long pants and long sleeves (as protection from ticks).

Baby hawk photographed in the wild. Although the baby is out of the nest, the mother is nearby watching over it's young. It is recommended to do nothing as the mother/parents are nearby still caring for it.
