🇺🇸 Victory at Saratoga | October 17, 1777

On October 17, 1777, British General John Burgoyne surrendered his army to American forces at Saratoga, New York, marking a pivotal victory for the American cause during the Revolutionary War.

As we remember the soldiers and patriots who served during the Revolution, we can also reflect on the many generations of Americans who have answered the call to serve our nation.

As we reflect on the history of those who have served our nation at sea and the generations of sailors who followed, we are reminded of the importance of honoring those who have worn the uniform.

🎂🇺🇸 Celebrating America’s 250th Birthday Through Service! 🇺🇸🎉

As we commemorate the 250th birthday of our nation, our chapter celebrated by helping others celebrate, too! ❤️

At our recent chapter meeting, members worked assembly-line style to create 37 “Birthday in a Box” kits filled with cake mix, frosting, soda, candles, balloons, and birthday banners. 🎈🎁

These kits will be donated to Lydia’s Pantry, a branch of the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, to help ensure that families facing food insecurity can celebrate life’s special milestones with a little extra joy.

This project is a reminder that celebrating our nation is also about caring for our neighbors, strengthening our communities, and making sure everyone has a reason to celebrate. ❤️🤍💙

Presented locally by the David Hudson, Joshua Stow, Jacob Gaskins, and Cuyahoga Falls Chapters of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, this exhibit highlights the stories of the individuals who helped shape our nation during the American Revolutionary War.
