Volley for the Pets We are a private group that runs an amateur sand volleyball tournament once a year raising money for NE Ohio pet rescue organizations. Established in 2016.

We are 2 weeks away from the 11th annual Volley for the Pets. For the second year in a row we're going to have a food truck on location: The Original Steaks and Hoagies - Akron. Most teams are returning last year so you'll all remember the Whizzy Tots that they walked around and sampled for everyone. We went with the OG cheesesteak, and honestly I think the bread is the underrated piece of the machine. They'll be kicking back a percentage of sales during the day, so be sure to hit them up in between your matches.

We are a month out and still taking sponsors and apparel orders! But while I have your attention, I want to shout out our oldest and biggest sponsor, with us from the start. Sammie's Bar & Grill in Tallmadge. They’re going to be at the Tallmadge Circlefest this weekend and they have a new food truck. If you haven’t been there, wings and their award winning burgers are great. My favorite is the perch fish and chips. Drop by for the Browns games this season and don’t miss their insane Christmas decorations. See you all in a month!

Proud to announce the 11th year of Volley for the Pets, benefiting two of our local fostering organizations and . We are also honored to accept a very generous donation from the memorial of our volleyball friend, Ken Majka. We are fortunate to have such a popular event, so spots fill fast. As always, we give the previous captains the opportunity to reclaim their spot. Everyone from 2025 will be contacted soon. Save the date this Labor Day weekend!
