Thank you all for another successful event for the 11th year of Volley for the Pets. With 26 teams and over 150 people, we started at 8:30 and finished at 7:30. We auctioned nearly 20 raffles, gathered over $700 in 50/50, and sold tons of extras in party shots and apparel. I want to thank all my volunteers, especially the crew that sold tickets tent to tent all day. Thank you to all the sponsors for donating time, money, and gear. Thank you to all the participants for signing up early, keeping us moving, contributing to raffles, staying safe, and all the kind words throughout the day. And finally, thank you to the late Ken Majka, who donated his memorial funds for the pets, “Kindness, Community, and a Life Well Lived!”

Schedule is out! You can follow along live with Google Sheets. We have condensed the schedule this year to finish the tourney in the daylight. There will be a winner of each division; BB, B, and C.

First serve is at 8:30am.
Court 4 is by the crate on the south side.
Court 1 is by the port-o-pots on the north side.

BB is RED and only on Court 4.

B is split between Light Blue Pool on Courts 4 and 3, and Dark Blue Pool on Courts 2 and 1.

C is split between Dark Yellow Pool on Court 3, Medium Yellow Pool on Court 2, and Light Yellow Pool on Court 1.

We are 2 weeks away from the 11th annual Volley for the Pets. For the second year in a row we're going to have a food truck on location: The Original Steaks and Hoagies - Akron. Most teams are returning last year so you'll all remember the Whizzy Tots that they walked around and sampled for everyone. We went with the OG cheesesteak, and honestly I think the bread is the underrated piece of the machine. They'll be kicking back a percentage of sales during the day, so be sure to hit them up in between your matches.

We are a month out and still taking sponsors and apparel orders! But while I have your attention, I want to shout out our oldest and biggest sponsor, with us from the start. Sammie's Bar & Grill in Tallmadge. They’re going to be at the Tallmadge Circlefest this weekend and they have a new food truck. If you haven’t been there, wings and their award winning burgers are great. My favorite is the perch fish and chips. Drop by for the Browns games this season and don’t miss their insane Christmas decorations. See you all in a month!
