We create opportunities for mentoring and networking for all women in the workforce. What began in 1965 as a small group of business people interested in the economic development of the community has become the Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce, now in its 44th year of helping to develop and grow businesses. The Chamber is a voluntary partnership of more than 360 businesses and professional pe
ople working together, who take pride in their many accomplishments. Membership is composed of leaders and entrepreneurs in business, industry, government, schools and organizations as well as civic leaders and individuals interested in the continued growth and the quality of life in the Stow-Munroe Falls area. The Chamber sponsors many activities, including the popular bi-annual Community Showcase as well as Pride Festival activities such as the Pride Community Breakfast and Golf Outing. Our monthly luncheons always attract 100 or more community leaders, monthly Business After Hours offer excellent networking. We also present Breakfast Roundtable seminars, workshops and community forums. A highlight at the Annual Meeting in January is always the Community Business Awards. One of the newer Member Benefits is the Small Business Resource Center, a series of workshops offering a variety of business skills to members and non-members alike. Other Member Benefits include a monthly newsletter, business referrals, promotional opportunities, group discounts and, of course, excellent and ongoing networking with other businesses and community leaders. It's true: Chamber members do indeed do business with Chamber members! The Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce has served the community well. We have actively participated in much of what has happened in our community during the past years and our members have been at the forefront of leadership and business development. The SMFCC believe that together we can make a difference! We are proud to be the "Voice of Business" in Stow-Munroe Falls for nearly 45 years.
