I think sometimes I forget that not everyone has the years of experience in the industry or the same years of education in the industry that I have. So, why not take the time to pass along the things I've learned that I think are so important everyone should know!
First up: equine dentals!
I cannot stress enough how important I feel dentals are for the horses health. If your horses teeth aren't at top function, their whole life is impacted. I personally find horse teeth super fascinating, but I know that not everyone does so I did try to stick to pictures that are more generic than specific but if anyone wants a deeper dive let me know!
Case in point of why regular dentals are so important: last year Indy's teeth were good and showed normal wear. This year they were showing more signs of wearing and are looking older than what we know his age is. I hadn't seen any sign of impacted chewing or weight issues, but catching this early allows me to adjust his feeding plan as needed to support him with this change.
