😬Oops — our bad! We learned that one of our registration links wasn’t working earlier. If you tried to sign your kiddo up and got an error message, everything is fixed now — please try again.
We still have 6 spots remaining, and the free T‑shirt deadline is TOMORROW. Registration will close completely on Saturday, 3/21, and pre‑registration is required. We cannot accept any day‑of entries — we need that lead time to knock the swag bags out of the park and make sure food, ammo, and birds are all properly ordered.
It’s going to be an outstanding day full of fun, learning, and time in the field.
If your kiddo needs Hunter’s Safety, no problem — just be sure to register for both the course and the event (and arrive with the pre‑work completed).
Questions or need help getting registered, just reach out. We’re here to make it easy and get your youth set for a great day outdoors.
🌾 **Important Hunter Education Update!** 🌾
Hunter Education is REQUIRED to participate in the Youth Learn‑to‑Hunt Event — and we’re making it easier than ever by offering a Hunter Ed course on-site the morning of the event!
If your youth still needs Hunter Ed:
➡️ **Two registrations are required** — one for Hunter Ed and one for the Learn‑to‑Hunt event.
Hunter Ed Reg: https://mdc-event-web.s3licensing.com/Event/EventDetails/216323
Learn To Hunt Reg: https://events.pheasantsforever.org/events/lone-buffalo-chapter--youth-learn-to-hunt-event/962ee75a-623b-46b2-8633-f96cb2511124
➡️ Pre‑work MUST be completed before arrival. Youth must bring proof of completion to check‑in.
• Option 1: Pick up a free printed student manual, complete it, and bring it with you.
• Option 2: Complete the online course and bring the completion certificate. There is a fee for the online option.
➡️ If pre‑work is not completed before arriving, the youth will be turned away, as there is no time to finish it during the event.
➡️ A passing test score is required to move on to the remainder of the day’s events. For the safety of all participants, Quail Forever requires that youth have their Hunter Education certification before entering the field hunt.
➡️ Once the test is passed and all requirements are met, your child will be issued their Hunter Safety Number the same day!
If your youth already has their Hunter Ed number, nothing changes — they’ll jump right into a full day of:
• Clay target shooting
• Habitat + native plant workshop
• A mentored 3‑bird field hunt
And yes… the participant swag bag and door prizes are back thanks to our generous sponsors.
Let’s get the next generation of upland hunters out in the field. Spots are limited — registration required, submit yours today!
