We have Stoughton Town Travel soccer teams in the South Shore Soocer League playoffs. That means we have Strikers playing in these games.

First game is tonight. Some U12 Strikers plan to go and support our Grade 7/8 boys. Another game later this week! Let’s go…and good luck!

June is LGBTQ+ Pride Month. Everyone deserves having safe and inclusive spaces to be who they are without judgement. Sadly, a recent situation at another Stoughton organization reminds us that not every group is there yet.

Stoughton Strikers will continue to provide inclusive opportunities for children and their families to enjoy soccer free of discrimination and ignorance. Period. Simple.

When three of your Strikers coaches come dressed for a game in unplanned identical shirts, you think that is a good omen. Well…after a yellow card on our head coach for too many boys on the field, and a red card/ejection of the opposing team’s head coach, the end of game whistle blew and you were left with a final thought of “what craziesness did I just watch.” Luckily, our Strikers boys aka Stoughton Town Travel Grade 5/6 boys were unfazed and put up another win. 4-0-0.

As posted before, we lost a Striker parent, a Stoughton coach and a friend when Dave passed. Please see below his Celebration of Life arrangements.

It is with profound sadness to announce to the Stoughton Strikers’ family that this week we lost one of our Strikers parents. Many of us know Dave Chrisos for his volunteerism with multiple Stoughton sports, and as a father to our U11/12 Striker, Ryan.

My family first met Dave when he was our son’s assistant coach for t-ball. He contributed his time to teaching Stoughton youth in basketball and town soccer as well. Dave was always willing to help where he could, and a person with whom I always had pleasant conversations. Through his actions, it was very obvious how much he loved his family, enjoyed being apart of his children’s extracurricular activities and prioritized giving back to the Stoughton community.

As a couching family, we know how much time, effort and sacrifice it is to coach and be supportive partners of coaches. The Chrisos family has touched so many of our children’s lives. I am including funeral information for those looking to pay their respects. I will also highlight a GoFundMe campaign for his kids.

Wishing the Chrisos family comfort and peace during this difficult time.

Reflecting on the 2025-26 Winter Sessions, to say the Strikers struck gold would be an understatement. Out of the 10 possible Championship matches over two sessions this year, our teams were in 7 of them.

When thinking back about each team and their Strikers soccer journey, each of them have had seasons where wins were very few and scores were unbalanced in favor of our opponents. The boys never gave up. What they were able to accomplish this year is a testament of their skill and teamwork. However knowing where they have been and what they have overcome, speaks to their character and mental fortitude.

“Adversity causes some men to break; others to break records.”

Congrats to all of our Stoughton Strikers! We look forward to an opportunity for us to celebrate at an upcoming New England Revolution “Night of Champions” game.

Congrats to our U12 Stoughton Strikers GK, Bradley Schoolcraft. He won the Keeper Wars U12 Championship Division. Since he won the Boston event, he’ll get invited to the Keeper Wars National event this summer. We are so lucky he is a Striker.

When our winter soccer season ends, our Strikers don’t. We have two of our amazing Strikers’ goalies competing in the Keeper Wars, and we have three other Strikers going to an ECNL soccer tournament in Texas. (Aidan is missing from the Texas photo.)

Good luck to them in their competitions!

The last but certainly not the least of our Stoughton Strikers (U10) played yesterday in the Winter Session II championship game and came out victoriuos. This is the second year for the group and their first year was not an easy road. But one thing you can say about these boys is that they never, not ever, gave up.

Putting in the hard work doesn’t always mean you will come out on top but it does put you in the right position to make the most of the opportunities given. These boys didn’t give up, they kept working at their craft and this year their commitment got them the gold medals.

Congrats to our youngest Strikers! You made us all very proud of everything you have accomplished!

It was a battle of Stoughton talent when two of our Strikers teams met in the U11/12 Top Flight Championship game. Congrats to our Stoughton Strikers - Alphas who complimented their Session I championship victory with a Session II championship win.

Hats off to the team who never gave up. It was a tough year with broken bones, long-term concussions and severe sprains that saw this team pivot and adapt to all the unexpected challenges.

Thank you to Coach Roy and Coach Chris for their leadership, and the Stoughton parents who provided so much support and more medical care than anyone could have anticipated.

Go Strikers. 💚💜⚽️🥅⚽️🧡🖤
