Send in boxtops between now and October 24th and the homeroom with the most will win breakfast for the class!
Boxtops must be trimmed and labeled with homeroom number and teacher. Thank you!

Dear OMS Families,

As the upcoming school year approaches we wanted to reach out and inform our community about the status of the OMS PTSO.
This year we have several board members leaving – all moving to the high school. We need to fill a vacancy for Treasurer. The PTSO raises funds to defray costs of field trips, support in-school enrichments-one for every grade, pay for 8th grade activities and fund afterschool programs such as yearbook, drama and homework club to name a few. If this position is not filled the PTSO will have no choice but to dissolve the organization. It would be a shame to not have these activities for the children next year. This year we decided to make a change in our fall fundraiser from the Magazine fundraiser to the Jeannine Collection http://www.jeannine.biz/ Our Fall fundraiser typically generates half of the funds needed to support the many programs and activities throughout the year, however the last couple of years fundraising has fallen short. My hope is that by making this change there will be more interest and sales will increase. This fundraiser has a wonderful assortment of items and for people who do enjoy the magazines those are available as well. The students will be bringing home the materials the week of September 15th.
We will be looking for additional volunteers in the upcoming weeks to chair events such as movie night, the Holiday Shopping Event and other fundraisers. Getting involved is not a huge time commitment and the OMS PTSO needs your help and support to continue offering the valuable programs to the middle school students and staff.

Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone at the monthly PTSO Meetings at the OMS Media Center.

We are looking for volunteers for our Holiday Fair on Saturday, November 23rd. We can use assistance between the hours of 8am - 3pm. Also, we are looking for someone to manage the Bake sale table. Please send me a message with the times you are available or if you would like to coordinate/manage the bake table.
