Visionaries Public Television Series The Visionaries is a public television series hosted by Sam Waterston that profiles the work of non-profits all over the world. cities.

For over 20 years, Visionaries, Inc. has been producing "Visionaries," a documentary series for public television. Visionaries Host Sam Waterston (from "Law & Order") highlights the rarely told stories of non-profit organizations all over the globe that are working to make a positive difference in their communities and beyond. To date, more than 170 organizations have been profiled in 60 countries

across 6 continents and in more than 100 U.S. Some of the issues that have been covered include AIDS prevention, health care, economic development, education, environmental awareness, hunger relief, homelessness, and crisis intervention.

We spent 3 days in Maban visiting the refugee camps and learning how The Mentor Initiative saves lives through tropical disease control and stays to help people recover from crisis with dignity, working side-by-side with communities, health workers and health authorities to leave a lasting impact. During the rainy season the refugee camps get flooded and become breeding grounds for many tropical diseases.
