Pam Rucinski, VGM, instructed WI Rosemalers in Hallingdal style Rosemaling last weekend. Pam is an excellent teacher with vast experience in this style. She had so many creative tips and ideas for us. It was a wonderful weekend of being together painting, visiting, connecting and, of course, wonderful potluck lunches. We made many great memories!

We are so saddened to report that Lila Gullixson has passed. She was a special member and friend to so many in our association. Lila was “always there” from the first minute to the last, at events, classes, meetings, social gatherings, paint sessions. She was a prolific painter and sold and exhibited her work and entered her pieces for competitions. She was the obvious choice for our first Sunshine Award! Lila, you are in our hearts forever and you will be dearly missed!

Rosemalers love woodenware! We sure had a beautiful variety to shop from with four vendors. It’s amazing how everyone forms quick friendships at Syttende Mai. These wonderful artisans added so much to the weekend!
