Just went out to dinner with GMA Mark Katzeff (MA, BSL) & PGVC Burt Snyder (MW, BSL) to celebrate the 162nd Annivetsary of our beloved order!
A great time was had by all!

BTW, I FINALLY just learned how to access the Bay State Lodge #141, Knights of Pythias FB group page as well as this Bay State Lodge web page which I manage!

It is with regret that I announce the passing of Maxine Marcus, beloved wife of Past Grand Prelate Maurice (Moe) Marcus of Bay State Lodge #141, Knights of Pythias, yesterday, February 9, 2026.
Services will be held at

Thursday,
February 12, 2026 at 1:00 in the afternoon.

Condolences (Shiva) may be paid after the services at her late residence from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday afternoon!

Brother Marcus is a life member of Bay State Lodge and a dual member of Canton Lodge K of P #6!
He has served the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts in many capacities up to and including Grand Prelate.
He was a Past Chancellor Commander of King Philip Lodge #33.
He is one of my mentors in our Beloved Order and accompanied me to the Supreme Convention in 2012 when I took my Supreme Lodge Rank!
On behalf of Bay State Lodge #141 I offer heartfelt condolences to the Marcus Family!

I regret to announce the passing of Brother Gerald Goulston of State Lodge #200, Knights of Pythias of Massachusetts!
A dedicated Pythian, Gerry was the landlord of the building used as the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts and the Castle Hall for several subordinate lodges in the Grand Domain.
Our building at 458 Pearl Street
Stoughton was also the Supreme Office of Our Beloved Order Universal for over 12 years until the Supreme Lodge Knights of Pythias office was moved to California approximately a year and a half ago!
Approximately 30 years ago when the Grand Domain of Massachusetts found it necessary to sell our building Brother Goulston allowed us to move into the second floor headquarters of his small chain of grocery stores at a reduced rental rate. We have been sharing his office space ever since.

After the the service a Celebrarion of Life will be held at the
Portuguese National Club

To BSL #141's out of town members, here are the highlights of last night's regular convention:
CC Albert appointed P Tony Crupi, S Dave Rapaport and FS/T Alan Colman as a committee to plan a fundraising project.
A preliminary report is due at our next convention on Nov 24.

Dues bills for 2026 will be sent out in November.

50 year Life and Veterans will receive a $0 balance due invoice, a "Thank You For Your Continued Service" note and an invitation to consider voluntary contributions reminder!

We expect numerous participants at our joint dinner with Canton Lodge on Saturday, Nov 1.
All active Lodges have been notified and invited to participate.
This is a great recruiting opportunity and chance to meet Pythians from across the Commonwealth!

We will try to hold more gatherings with other Lodges!

Remember, women are now allowed to become Knights.
Your spouse, significant other, sister or mom is invited!

The next Grand Lodge Annual Convention is scheduled for Friday, May 15, 2026 at
4 Points Sheraton Hotel in Norwood.
Total cost is $25.
All Knights are invited to attend.
Reservations must be sent to GP Tony Crupi by 4-27-2026.
Dress is business casual!
Again, all Knights are invited.
Non Past Chancellors will be admitted after the ritual opening of the Convention!

The November BSL #141 Convention will be held at our Castle Hall at 7:00 PM, on Nov 24, 2026.
All Knights in good standing are invited to attend!
If you are in town from anywhere and are in good standing in any Pythian Lodge, drop in!

Just heard from META that this page has violated someone's copyright and I have 24 hours to appeal this page being expelled!

I tried to appeal and the directions I was given made no sense!

I have notified my computer experts and hope someone will get back to me!

The only thing I publish are birthdays and Lodge info.

The page is not private and I have no idea who angered whom!

I run this page from my cell phone!

I inherited the page.

If shut off I just want people to know why.

Many times I've tried to eliminate non BSL or non K of P posts but most posts are non Pythian and it would take a full time secretary to monitor the posts.

Again, I'm sorry for any violations!

As Shaggy and my kids as well as the suspects I've arrested have often said, "Wasn't me!"

Thanks for the 6 years of unpaid labor and a lifetime of Pythianism!
