Hi everyone! We wanted to re-introduce the Huskies for Israel board as we start a new semester. We’re so excited to bring you more great events and continue to educate UConn about Israel. We can’t wait to see you at Shakshukah in the Sukkah tomorrow (9/23) at 5:30 pm!

With 7 antisemitic incidents on campus this school year alone, we as Huskies for Israel condem any acts of anti-semitism and stand with all of our Jewish Huskies at UConn. Anti-semitism dates back to ancient times, but its impact is still felt today. Nobody should receive hate or hostile behavior for who they are or what they believe in. This behavior is not acceptable and we cannot let these acts continue. We need to lead by example and show not only UConn, but the world that hate of any kind is not to be tolerated.

We will be supporting Hillel in attending the Solidarity Event to Fight Anti-Semitism on Monday, April 5th from 3:30-5 pm on the Student Union Lawn to show our solidarity and ask for change. Masks and social distancing will be required at all times. All of the members of the Huskies for Israel Board will continue to fight anti-semitism of any kind and are availble to provide any kind of support of resources to the community. Feel free to reach out to any of us with questions, comments, concerns or talk to us about how you are feeling.

Operation Good Neighbor - A Story of the Grassroots Movement of Medical and Humanitarian Cooperation Between Two Countries in Conflict.

Lieutenant Colonel (Res.) Eyal Dror began Operation Good Neighbor, a humanitarian project that provided treatment to sick and injured Syrians, built hospitals and trained doctors near the border and evacuated civilians from bombings during the Syrian Civil War.
