Our mission is to enhance understanding of land stewardship & equip teens, adults and teachers with scientific tools and knowledge to carry out local conservation projects. The Natural Resources Conservation Academy (NRCA) is an innovative program in conservation and land use planning that engages Connecticut high school students, adult conservation volunteers and teachers with conservation efforts at the community level. NRCA’s three interconnected efforts (Conservation Ambassador Program [CAP], Conservation Training Partnerships [CTP], and Teacher Professional Learning [TPL]) benefit students and adults by conducting education on natural resource management and geospatial technology, and facilitating the use of these new skills in the implementation of local conservation projects that benefit the community.
