Sigma Lambda Upsilon - Alpha Omicron Chapter We're the Alpha Omicron Chapter at the University of Connecticut - Storrs. We were founded by four inspiring women wanting to support all women on campus.

History:

Sigma Lambda Upsilon/ Señoritas Latinas Unidas Sorority, Incorporated was founded on December 1, 1987 at Binghamton University. The organization not only serves as a voice for women in an academic setting, but it also provides a sincere sisterhood and unconditional support while actively promoting academic achievement, service to the community, and cultural enrichment. Although, Sigma Lambda Upsilon is a Latina-based Sorority it highly prides itself as an organization of diverse college-educated and professional women dedicated to uplifting traditionally marginalized groups. Since 1987, SLU has been an outlet for professional development and personal growth to its members and serving constituents. We value Sincerity, Loyalty, and Unity. Our National Philanthropy is Literacy.
