Identifying the Missing Power of Asian American in Connecticut (IMPAACT) Conference is a leadership conference hosted by the Asian American Cultural Center (AsACC) and the Pan-Asian Council (PAC) at the University of Connecticut, Storrs Campus. This conference is open to all UCONN Undergraduate and Graduates students, and students from surrounding universities and colleges.
This year the theme is "The Perfect Edge: Sharpening Yourself". We want to present opportunities for participants to refine their intrapersonal and interpersonal skills, along with leadership development.
Our keynote speaker this year will be Tadashi Nakamura. He is a Japanese American filmmaker who created the documentary “Mele Murals.” After screening the film, Mr. Nakamura will discuss this visually striking, emotionally touching film about the transformative power of modern graffiti art and preserving Native Hawaiian culture.
The conference will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 9:30am-4pm in the Student Union and Laurel Hall.
Conference is FREE, but all meals are on your own.
