Hey all!! Don’t forget tomorrow the Ecology Class is setting out the NEW trash cans in the various parks and beaches we have in town! We will also be cleaning up after the new cans are placed! If you see us around town tomorrow, stop by to help us make Storm Lake !! Saturday is the CITY WIDE CLEANUP!! 🤩🤩

Did you know?

Mayor Mike Porsch has proclaimed April 29th to May 5th “Storm Lake Proud" beautification week.
This is in conjunction with Buena Vista University’s Beaunification Day on April 30th.

Projects will be completed by community members on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of this week. On Saturday, the community will work to finish projects. Some of the projects will include the clean up of parks and beaches.

Neighborhoods, civic groups, and churches are encouraged to contact city hall at 712 732-8000 to be matched with projects… while individuals could work on their lawns, houses, and adjacent public areas.

The parks department is compiling a list of projects, which include sweeping sidewalks, cleaning yards and neighborhoods, downtown flower boxes, and rain gardens.

SLHS ecology students walking into Storm Lake Proud Days!! Help us make Storm Lake ! This Friday at one in the afternoon these students will be setting out NEW trash cans in the parks and beaches in town! The cans will be out around four that day! Look for a NEW can in your favorite park on Friday!! These students are completing the beach cleanup on Friday at one as well! Come cleanup the parks and beaches with us!

Hello everyone!!! Don’t forget to come help clean up April 29th - May 5th during Storm Lake Proud Days!! May 4th is the city wide clean up day, please come down to the parks and help out the city with the various projects available! Come and help us make a success!
