Muslim Peace Fellowship

Muslim Peace Fellowship Whatever act of violence has just taken place, we deplore it. To affirm the commitment to peace on behalf of all Muslims.

Our objectives:

To work against injustice and for peace in ourselves, our families, our communities, and our world. To explore and deepen our understanding of Islamic teachings about peace and nonviolence. To expose and transcend the vicious circle of religious stereotyping and false identity. To develop faithful and authentic nonviolent strategies for the establishment of sustainable social bala

nce and the redress of wrongs. To reach out to people of other religious traditions to further mutual understanding and respect, and to build solidarity in the service of the planet. To work together with all people of good will to keep open the Straight Path between human conscience and the creator of the worlds. Muslim Peace Fellowship pursues its goals through conferences, publications, service projects, teaching in academic and grassroots settings, speaking engagements, coalition building, and interreligious social action. And, of course, through interior work and prayer. For further information, send your queries to [email protected]. Muslim Peace Fellowship is a member of the Fellowship of Reconciliation network.

"To me, to be Muslim is to be a BLM ally, and I honestly can't imagine it being any other way for me," Ahmed said. "Furthermore, it's critical to realize that one-fourth to one-third of the Muslim community in America are black ... and to separate justice for Muslims from justices for the black community is to erase the realities of the plurality of our community."

Today we are launching a campaign - Violence and Coercion in honor of Khadija Abdul-Mu`ti who, when liberated from the life-destroying tyranny of Daesh and its delusions, wore a red hijab in celebration – and swore to wear it for the rest of her life.

Now is the time for women everywhere to stand in solidarity with Khadija. Wear red for dignity and freedom. Wear red to be visible, not invisible. Stand up for the beauty of Islam. Let your love flame out into the world.

Take a picture of yourself wearing a red hijab and share it using and tell us what you are standing up for! Read the manifesto and find more pictures here: https://mpf21.wordpress.com/2016/06/23/redhijabagainst-violence-and-coercion/

Far too many Orlando families lost their loved ones in a deplorable act of violence. This is why a collective of American Muslim leaders and groups have united to raise funds for the victims’ families.

We wish to respond to evil with good, as our faith instructs us, and send a powerful message of compassion through action. Our Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said: “Have mercy to those on earth, and the One in the Heavens (God) will have mercy upon you.” And the Quran teaches to “Repel evil by that which is better” (41:34).

Be sure to donate and share if you have yet to do so.

In honor of Muhammad Ali, we are launching a campaign to support Generation Ali, a project started by Ali that empowers young people to find their voice and become leaders in social justice issues. As we learn of the sad news of his departure from this earth, we have an opportunity to stand with him as he always stood for us. Our contributions will help ensure that the Muhammad Ali Center can continue to reach out to young change makers around the world, regardless of faith or background, and show that communities around the world stand by this iconic leader and his vision of strength and compassion. Join us today in continuing his legacy by donating and sharing!
