F.A.C.E of Stony Brook University (SBU) Fight Against Cancer Everyday F.A.C.E.

(Fight Against Cancer Everyday) of SBU is an organization founded in Stony Brook University in order to raise awareness of different forms of cancer. We choose a different type of cancer every month and raise awareness toward that type of cancer through tabling, brochures, and workshops which occur during our meetings. Along with raising awareness about different forms of cancer, we also fund rais

e towards each type of cancer that was chosen for the month. Fundraising is done in forms of bake sales, general donations, and also various events that we will host throughout the semester.

Each time you purchase any of our Pink Ribbon products, Medline will make a contribution to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to fund mammograms for women who cannot afford them and for other prevention and awareness efforts. To date, we have donated more than $750,000 to the NBCF.

During our first general body meeting we will be holding a workshop on supporting those who support others struggling with a chronic disease. The workshop will talk about how someone would cope with a loved one diagnosed with a chronic illness such as cancer and HIV/AIDS. December first is also national AIDS day. Please come by and show your support! Plus, we will have snacks available! Cookies, chips, and cupcakes!
