It is with a saddened heart I would like to take this time to ask for prayers for the family of Gillespie County Sheriff’s Deputy Kevin Carter.

Deputy Carter was assigned to the Gillespie County Courthouse security detail.

Deputy Carter was also a US Army Veteran.

Deputy Carter passed away after his hard fought battle with cancer.

More information will follow as we move forward with details of Deputy Carter’s funeral arrangements.

We ask for your support and prayers to the Carter family along with his GCSO family during this time of loss.

Deputy Kevin Carter will be missed.

We would like to express our deepest appreciation to everyone who attended our Annual Sporting Clays Fundraiser on Saturday. It was a fantastic experience.

Special thanks to Los Cazadores and Matthew and Kelly Schumann Legacy Fund for their generous support.

The turnout was outstanding. Thank you to all, and we look forward to the next event.

We were also able to show off our new truck that these funds will be helping to getting! Thank you to the community, we greatly appreciate the continued support!
